So I went white water rafting today in TN. All I can say is it's probably the best $45 I've spent on a thrill thing. Absolutely awesome!

Anyway, Has anyone else ever been?

I'm looking for some more places to go. I was on the Ocoee today. Any ideas would be great on more places. =)

thanks folks.

I have been white water rafting in both Colorado and upstate New York. I had a freakin BLAST doing it. Next thing I want to do is white water kayaking, but there arent many places who will take people with little experience.

I'd love to give that a try once I get more experience. the short 2 1/2 hour trip I did today was so fun. Despite loosing half our raft to a nasty rapid, and almost our guide for that matter... It's the funnest damn thing I've done in a long time. Colorado I've heard was nice though. Despite how far it is... I think I may have to make a road trip to do it :D.

Thanks man!

Well I live in NJ so yea, it was far to travel. We were visiting some family. What level rapids were you on? I have done everything up to level 4. I want to get up to level 3 rapids on a kayak. If there were more areas to go kayaking here, I would definitely purchase my own.

Its DEFINITELY worth it. Even though its your first time, I wouldnt suggest going on anything less than level 3 rapids. Level 1 is basically nothing more than flat water, level 2 isnt much better. Level 3 and 4 is where it gets fun. Dont go on any 45 minute trip either, make sure its about 3-4 hours.

We were on class 4 the guide said. If we would of done the whole day trip ( which was $110 vs the $45 we paid. ) We would of done Class 4 and 5... I was told that when they did the Olympics in Atl, these are the rapids they used... It was intense, and I surely will be going back =)

Im not as interested in getting on class 5 rapids as I am having a longer section of class 4 rapids. Class 4's were great but they were just few and far between.
