not too many people liked my 99 civic lx with the painted interior. I really have alot of drive to change this car into an eye catcher from an old ladies looking car. but i really don't have alot of direction to go from. I come from lifted and dropped trucks. I keep attempting to do all these little mods, but I'm having problems reaching that point of eye catching. I'm getting rims and a tint job in a few weeks i just don't know where else to add a little zest. If you have any ideas please let me know i am very curious bout how to go about it.

I liked the accents. Choice of color was good and the items you chose to paint was also good. But I feel that it isn't finished.
It looks like you have at least 2 shades of grey (maybe even 3 if there is a difference between the top part of the dash and the bottom and it wasn't just the lighting), some black pieces, and the grey apholstery. I think if you were to simplify the color scheme, it would look better.

looks like its in great shape. I would say get a grill, paint that side door molding. Choose your rims wisely, including the size. And why da fudge did you get fog lights placed there? There is a place for them already on that front end. >_<

i was under the impression the dx was the only one that actually had the mounts behind the inserts on the bumper to screw the lights to. So i bought those and cut them in. and what color should i paint those side moldings? i was thinking about removing them, bondo the holes and repaint the color of the car. type r mesh grill is on its way in the mail right now.

take the word bondo out of your vocab. the correct way would be to body fill, then fiberglass, then finish them with surface filler (pink bondo) and sand to a flat finish.then repaint door. extenside project, hardest part is the end of the fenders (closest to the door) and then the one on the unibody (closest to the door again) and making them to a great visible finish, also know that unless you have extensive body work experience its not just a wipe and sand type job, you can do that, but they will crack due to the elements, you will make it one summer and one winter and crack city, then rust will follow and then the dmise of your pretty civic.

dont get rid of your moldings, too much work, they look fine and it serves a purpose. well at least sometimes, it protects your car from getting dings. depending on the make and model someone could slam their door towards yours. But most civics are dropped so they may be useless. paint them the same color as your car. Nice job on the grill choice.

I'm not trying to hate, but I think most four doors are gonna look like a grandma car no matter what. That said, there are some things you can do to make it less grandma-like. The list of mods could go on forever, but first and foremost, lower it on coilovers, or springs (it is much cheaper in the short run but you'll eventually need new shocks). Rims are also something that can drastically change the look of the car. Nice job ordering the grille.

im with you in 4 doors being grandma cars. No way you could suit up a 4door and hope it will look tight. Ive seen some pull it off, but very very rare.

And when they do, it's super clean. Maybe one day I will de-grandma my civic. Until that day comes, I like it just the way it is.

Besides, I have a damn GSXR-1000 and leathers to go fast.

stance is what turns heads.

A car that is dropped to just the right height on a set of sick uncommon wheels and a few body panel upgrades and you WILL turn heads.

Definitely buy some coilovers and get that stance right ;)

CLEAN CAR!!!! :D

^^ yup. what he said.

the body could be completely stock, but if the car sits low and has a decent set of wheels/tires it will grab attention. good attention too, not hooker bleeding from the mouth kind of attention

also adding a few things like tow hooks, emblems, lips, subtle things like that can make a big difference in the overall look

4 doors have a lot of potential. And if done properly, they can be extremely unique and more novel than coupes. I'd say OEM fogs, some nice 15 or 16 inch wheels, a decent drop, and maybe tint would set it off. Then you can focus on performance mods, like exhaust and whatnot.
