Alrighty folks, here it is. I'm a Medic... I like hearing the stories. In detail. No, I don't like hearing peoples misfortune, but it's neat to hear the stories. So let's hear them Pics would make it ten times better, but if you don't have them, it's cool.

I'll start.

When i was younger (as you can tell in the pictures), me and two of my buddies were just going along when a drunk, stoned, illegal mexican ran a stop sign at 60mph. T-boned us. We rolled 3 times at 75mph, and came to a stop finally on the other side of the divided highway.... We got lucky though. Driver got out with a sling for a few days(He's the big guy). The back seat passenger had to be extricated and walked away with a c-7 fracture and a neck brace for 6 months... Me(Front passenger) got out with 7 stitched and a sling for a month.( When he hit us my shoulder busted out the window)...

We were blessed to walk away from it. But that's it in a nut shell Here's the pics.

my story

i had an 03 civic coupe, in the ran i lost control from being dumb and just going too fast, and slammed a wire guard rail ripping up three posts and the front half of my car sliding over a small ravine finally came to a stop and got hit by a women who wasnt paying attention, that ruined the back passenger side i took my belt off and was about to get out when she hit me, heard the tire squeal right before i opened the door and driver side hit a metal guard rail, good thing i didnt get out

a friend of mine has a gsr, (luckily i wasnt in this car when this happened) he was flyin down the highway around 120give or take when a car pulled into the passing lane and he hit that car, rolled 4 times and hit a concrete post holding up a bridge, he suffered from a broken neck and was told he wasnt going to be able to walk again, but is doing just fine now, would even known he was in an accident that severe, the only thing salvageable from the car was the 2 front seats

my last car was a 1988 oldsmobile cutlas s rusty piece of s**t . i was speeding like a retard going abot 90 in the left lane coming from my boys house after i just replaced a rusted gas line the tie rod snaps and throws me so hard into the jersey barrier that i catch enough air to flip me directly onto the roof i remember sliding upside down with the road rite in my face i remember watching the line dividers flying by one by one and sparks flying everywhere . after that i only remember bits and pieces like the ems guy telling me im going in a helicopter to the hospital and the sound of helicopter blades . the hole thing was crazy especially the bill i got from the hospital the grand total was over $90,000 and i had no insurance.

Nice, both of you are very lucky. Glad to hear your friend is doing well. I've seen some bad ones, and the ones with the worst injuries are the smallest ones...

I disagree with this statement. I think HE was blessed to walk away from it.......because I can guaran-f**king-tee you that if it was me in the car with you, he wouldnt have. s**t if I got hit by someone who ran a stop sign, I would have flipped, probably not hit them though. If I found out they were drunk, stoned, or both.....I would have punched them several times in the stomach before cops got there, and say his accusations are just crazy. His testimony wouldnt hold up because the dude was so intoxicated that he couldnt see a big red sign saying "STOP". If I found out he was drunk, stoned, and illegal.......they would have to assume that someone ghost rode the car into me and jumped out, because they would never find his body.

When I was 12(27 now), I was on a family vacation and we were in my dad's 1983 Bronco. He has road rage badly and decided to pass a line of cars UP A HILL AROUND A MOUNTAIN IN THE RAIN(problem #1 right there).

As we're passing this backhoe to the right of us, it suddenly turns left into us. Keep in mind we are more than 1/2 in front of it at this point. The front bucket smashes the BACK part of the passenger door, hitting my mother. Dad tries to turn w/ the impact hoping to drive down the hill but it was too steep and we rolled, landing upside down in a creek.

My golden retriever flew through the windshield and took off in shock, getting hit by another car and they later take him to the hospital and he's ok and later returned to us. I remember pushing on Dad's seat in front of me screaming, and I think I was the only one making noise. My mother is unconscious by this point.

We hit the creek and my little brother and I are suspended upside down (seats back then were bench style w/ only lap harnesses). He undoes himself and tries to help mom, my belt is stuck and my lower half is covered in blood and um...potty.

I had to be cut from the vehicle and rushed to the ER, mom w/ me. She had severe whiplash, 26 stitches in her face, neck, right arm from trying to shield herself, sprained wrist, otherwise she's fine. My brother merely bit his tongue, my dad didn't have a scratch on him. I had internal bleeding, ruptured bladder(hence why I pottied), and cut up legs and hands.

The man that hit us was horrified, left the scene of the accident to ride w/ us to the hospital. Apparently he didn't leave outside my room until they released me. He was more than willing to cover everything(like he had a choice anyhow).

Years prior he lost his family; a wife and little blond haired daughter to an accident and he blames himself for it. He kept saying I looked just like his little girl.

Leaving my college graduation ceremony...

Pulled up to a stop sign out of the parking lot; there was a car on the left of me and I was about to turn right. Couldn't really see that many cars coming the intersecting way (since the road was curved) so I pull up a little to the stop sign... Some jackass rear ends me in my STI.

He had, no DL.
He had, no insurance under his name.
He didn't even have his name under anyone elses insurance.

So I had my car back for like a day after getting the rear bumper fixed... I was cruising on the highway to my house... The highway happens to switch from three lanes into one, as they were doing construction on the two left lanes (far left, middle). I come to somewhat of a rolling stop behind this dudes car, look up at my rear view, and see this mother f**ker just CRUISING. I seen it coming and I sat there... BAM! Mother f**ker hits me.

He had, no DL
He had, no insurance
He didn't even have his f**king wallet or any form of ID!

So I was driving my cousin's Evolution to one of my cousin's house (he passed, we were attending his service). The big highway turned into a little one (2 lanes coming, 2 lanes going). The median has a large trail of grass and is like a hill? Anyways, I pull into this turning lane and can barely see over the hill. There was another car on the other side in their turning lane; might I add, we're turning on a small dirt country road (in country). So, me and my cousin (the one that's not dead) is sitting in the car waiting to see if anything's coming or until that lady on the side turns. We see her look at her rear view and then waves for us to go; we look up and see one car, but he's far away. We decide to turn, and some asshat that was probably in that lady's blind spot was SPEEDING and T-boned us going probably like 70-80 mph. We flew onto grassy field uphill about 12-15 yards from collision spot.

Funny... All I heard my cousin say was, "oh s**t!" Very calmy.

I blacked out for a split second, but was fine none the less... The airbags didn't go off which kinda sucked because we were like bouncing around in there... End result, I came out fine, but my cousin had bruised internals, cuts, and blah blah blah.

*Oh yea, and if the grassy field hadn't turned into somewhat of a small hill, we wouldn't flipped over and over and probably over again. The Evo's passenger side door & B? pillar had to be cut out so they could pull my cousin out.

11 Days ago, me and a couple of my friend were at his cabin 50 miles north of here. We had just gotten back from dinner at a local bar with his parents and had hamburgers . Me and Kevin (thats his name that wrecked me) decided to go take the mule (Kawasaki, not animal) for a spin around the lake. As we got down the street, we slid a corner and laughed because it was super fun. We got to another corner, and this is where it all went back. Stopped for a stop sign, then he floored it all the way around the corner and not just steadily giving it gas. It had managed to roll onto the side, and my instinct was to stop myself by sticking my leg out. The roll bar managed to smash onto my leg and cut it 7 inches long, 2 inches wide, and 1.5 inches deep. I layed there in pain for a good 5-10 mins while the ambulance came. Fremont (the nearest town) couldnt do anything for me, because they were not prepped for this type of laceration. I was ambulanced down to Lincoln, Nebraska where I live, and had surgery that night. I was there Saturday night 10 pm- Thursday afternoon 1pm. I got away with 3 surgerys, 17 staples, road rash, and a badly sprained ankle and having to walk on crutches for about a month. I have phyiscal therapy sometime in October for my ankle and learning how to walk on it once again. All of this could've been avoided if we werent so dumb, and 16

when i was 15 we my friend was driving my to school with one kid in the back, reallly bad weather with ice cotating the road, he was speeding, lost control and smashed into a tree head on, (91 jeep cherokee) i covered my face thinking the windsheild would have smashed, i opened my eyes and say my friends face bleeding and then i blacked out for a minute or so

all in all the kid behind me didnt have a seat belt on and smashed into my seat so i was launched forward while the seatbelt was holding me back. I ened up with just bruised knees from hitting the dash and some chest damage causing me to no have asthma, only exersice enduced, and the obvious whip lash, wasnt too bad though

the driver has some stitches in his chin and eye from the horn cover (since no damn airbags) hit him in the face, we were both rused to the hospital, and the kid behind me had bruised shins from hitting my seat

i remember the cop looking at me, the tree and back and forth a few times (as i was sitting in the car still, they wouldnt let me out even though i was saying i was fine) and he said "You're a damn lucky kid, with out that seatbelt you would be dead, most likely hitting the head on the tree after flying out of the windshield, your lucky, always wear that, it saved your life."

Haahahaha. I'm gonna quote what the officer told us. The words will never leave my mind. "What'll happen is we'll take him in. He'll spend the night in Jail. Someone will come bail him out, and he'll disappear."

A friend of mine when i was younger decided he was pissed at his father, so he stole his dads car and took off to pick up his girlfriend and run away. (He was 17).

After picking his girlfriend up that took off hauling ass down a dirt road. They were going about 90, not wearing a seatbelt and no airbags in the car.... Tried to take a turn going 90... Well. You can guess how it ended.

He ran head first into a ditch, His head hit the steering wheel, smashing his skull, then flew through the windshield and landed about 150ft from the car... He's no longer with us and his girlfriend was in ICU for almost a month...

Lesson here... Seat belts are great features... Use them... Also, Don't make stupid choices...

Seat belts save lives.

Smart driving can most of the time prevent the need for a seat belt.

Let me have a try at this.
Note: I don't race on the street anymore and do not condone it.

A while back, I was driving my Honda S2000. No really spectacular mods. Suspension, Rims, Intake, Exhaust, Tuned ECU with Rev Limiter and Speed Limiter Cut.

One night, I was driving to the races in Salinas from Monterey (CA) with my GF when some guy in an Teg wanted to race. So I go for it. But something I liked to do back then was let the guy get ahead a couple cars and then floor it to pass them at freakishly high speeds. This is what I like to call "The Epic Over-Take". So the Teg pulls ahead about 5 cars and I hit the gas. I'm doing a little above 130mph and almost to him now when I realize that we're approaching "The Grove of Trees", which is just a little spot of trees about 50 yards long that separates the highway and it where cops like to hide. So the Teg hits his brakes and I down-shift, but in my attempt to slow down quickly I misshift from 6th to 3rd. At this point, I would like to mention that my rear tires are set at -2.5 degrees camber. This makes my rear tires lose traction and my ass starts to get sideways at about 135.

I hit the shoulder at about 120 and slide sideways. The driver-side of my car hits a bush about 3 feet tall, which is enough at that speed to roll the car. I use the word "roll" loosely because the car didn't really roll, it got air-borne, and rolled mid-air. The car comes to a thud on its side (passenger side) then tips upright. Luckily, no one was injured and I was able to drive the car home that night. Since it was near Seaside in the Monterey Bay Area, the highway is surrounded by sand. Also, the point of rotation when the car was rolling was about chest height, so the G-forces kept our butts in our seats and my soda in my cup-holder (which I needed to go with the cigarette I smoked while my car was being pulled out of the sand).

Damage:
Dent on Passenger Side door
Ripped Front bumper (from getting caught in sand while getting pulled out)
Front Toe was a little off on passenger wheel
Bent intake piping
Lost bead on tire and sand and plants got caught between the tire and rim so bead wouldn't seat until I got it cleaned

Dent on the passenger side. Also, note the grass and crap wedged between the tire and the top of the rim.

This is what my face was like.

Funny sticker on passenger side of dash.

Dented door. Side mirror folded in when it landed so it wasn't damaged.

Messed up intake piping and it ripped off my Custom "Dry Box" for the filter element.
