anyone used the Olympus E500? Theres a kit that comes with 2 lenses and apparently its more ergonomically friendly than the 300D. It looks really good and has a self cleaning sensor, theres a guy on mnsubaru thats selling the kit for $400 obo, has very low usage

sure why not? try out, if you done like send it back.
True but any camera shop I'm sure would do a thorough check before selling (prolly more than you or I could do) it and offer any returns if needed.
But sounds like your on the right path aside from Canon
