There seem to be WAY more threads being made in the wrong section now after this change. It looks like people are getting confused with the new layout. People are posting tech threads in the Members Rides sections (whichever generation their vehicle is) thinking they are the generation specific tech sections.

I'd say change it back. Plus it's way more of a hassle to have to sift through so many new threads in 1 section. I would much rather than just go to 6th generation tech, for a tech question relating to a 6th generation (since I know more about 6th generations than any other), rather than click on Engine Tech / Drivetrain and have to sift through every thread that doesn't have a name that's specific to their problem / generation (which is pretty much every thread in every section).

This. We already have to go through general tech and move all 42,000 threads to the proper location, dont feel like moving backwards and just putting it back in generation tech threads.

if we wanted to expand our knowledge of a different generation which why would you exactly unless you own that generation wouldn't it have been easier to find in a specific section ???

This topic has been discussed by us quite a bit. We have also listed all the reasons that we decided to make this change. This thread is not a place where we can discuss whether we are going to change it back or not. The change has been made, and this is the direction the site is moving in. The only thing we have left to do is move the threads from general tech to the proper sections.
