ok for all who dont know i have a 96 civic hx coupe and i just read that 06-08 si rear seats fit right into my 96 coupe so im going to buy some cause i found some for 150 after shipping. anyways i want to know for sure if everything bolts right up or if maybe only a few bolts dont line up or something and also i want to paint my interior black so whats the best interior paint to buy in black and i have read that i need some adhesion promoter or something so can someone help me out on this?

Why do u want more PEOPLE in your coupe??? This is the perfect time to replace that spare seat into two 15" subwoofers! =)

f**k that why add 100lbs of weight that will always be there? i hardly ever have passengers im just doing it to make my car worth more and look better. i will eventually either get the front 08 si seats or i will get some black recaros or something. so the painting doesnt work out to well? i remember seeing a tutorial on how to do but i dont remember. also im definitly not using fusion i would rather use a can of paint that says for interiors

For the paint I used SEM dye. It worked great I did it last year and its held up through over 100 degree weather too. It's in a can like spray paint but it is like 12 a can if I remember right. I did my coupe in 3 cans not including the actual dash cause its my dd but I need to finish. Just Google it and a bunch of stuff comes up with pics.

All you have to do is scuff it good but definetly use adhesive promoter. I tried to use the stuff at autozone because it was cheap but it would chip off of you barely touched it. I wouldn't use that stuff.

just to give everyone a fair warning these seats do not just fit. neither mounting bracket for the back of the seats work and the bottom seat brackets dont go into the holes and it doesnt bolt down oh and the backs dont clip into the locking mechanism because the hooks are in the wrong spot. but they do fit just nothing bolts in and the backs dont sit right. oh and heres the link to the seats i bought http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220652168842&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK:MEWNX:IT

lol well damn i could have just reupholstered my back seats with black and it would have been cheaper than buying the whole back seat and swapping the upholstering and foam..does the middle head rest from the 06-08 still fit with the 96-98 civic seat frame?

yes the head rest fit the only problem when your fold your seat they kinda fall off what i did was i welded the the 2 holes from the new seat panel on to the stock one and bamn they stay in place
