Well guys, I am about to do it. By the looks of things I am not gonna be able to get a loan on anything for a couple years. I have a full time Jeep project going on and am getting ready to do an axle swap and lift it more. I was sitting in the parking lot at work today and a guy i have known for years walked up and we started shooting the s**t and the subject of me buying a car came up. So, It looks like I may be getting an 89-90 Civic hatchback for $900. its a very clean little red one. I was looking for an Accord but this'll do. Has A/C that is stil working, an auto trans(this is a driver only car) and the interior is very clean. Gonna have a look at it monday after he is done swapping out the head because of a burnt valve. I will probably be doing a set of 99-00 Si wheels and a stereo and calling it good until I can trade it up for a WRX or a TDI jetta. So you oughta see me lurking around on here a lot more. My first honda was an 89 Prelude and my brother is on his 5th Honda, so I am no stranger to them. I just enjoy having offroad capability.

I hear ya on the off road capabilities. I've had my 00 si since 01. Before then I had an 88 prelude, 89 prelude and then another 88 prelude.. all of which have new owners. Bought me a 05 Grand Cherokee Limited last year. Love it, but with gas prices.. the Si wins as the DD.

Seems we live close, I live in Seymour work at Cummins in Columbus.

Ha, no s**t! I work at FSP. The gas prices really aren't a factor for me. I should be knocking down 22 on the highway in the jeep when I get The new axles under it. It will be nice to get 35+ though. Which plant are you at?

sounds like a great plan. why not purchase something a little newer?
I have a 97 cherokee. If I go with a newer vehicle it will be a WRX or TDI jetta. This Honda is mainly gonna be a DD even though my jeep will still be setup for daily driving. Still need it to pull a boat or popup camper to wheeling events. I do a lot of fishing as well so it needs to be ready to drive to the fishin' hole. Besides if I modify a car its gonna be a Buick GN. :D

Back into Honda's? Sucks to be you, dude.
Eh, its not so bad. This thing is not getting any mods other than tint, some newer OEM wheels and a stereo. Modded hondas are not my style. once the jeep is caged. Its time for another project. Probably a TDI ricer slayer. :D
