Where is vtec solenoid, what does it look like? I came from the subaru community. I totaled my STi with a deer, so I bought a ek hatch with B16A2.

It's on the lower left side of the valve cover if you're looking at it from the front.

Ok so to take it off and clean the screen or w/e everyone is talking about, I unbolt the 2 or 3 bolts around that cylinder and the screen should be there? The problem im having is It hits vtec fine sometimes. Other times it'll crack vtec and then sounds like it studders.

You unbolt the other 3 also and it takes the whole thing out and you will see gaskets with a screen on it. And yea, the screen gets clogged sometimes.

Ok cool. Yeah I was told it could be clogged or not enough oil. I have oil, and pressure so this is the last thing. If it doesn't work when I unclog it, Ill just buy a new solenoid. Now I just need to find some carb cleaner or something lol.
