I been having this problem with my remote start on my ej6. The issue consist of the car not being able to crank the motor after all the ignition lights on the cluster turn on. The vehicle acts like it's is about to start but it only turns on all the lights in the cluster, and then the cluster lights go off, followed by a series of flashes of the parking lights.

I checked all the wires of the compustar brain and they are all where there supposed to, however when I attempt to remote start the car if fails and gives me a code in flashes that indicates "engine on". Can anyone help me determine what to do to adress this "engine on" error. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm not as familiar with compustar but the parking light flashes should indicate why it shut down. Reasons would be something like tach signal not programmed, in manual mode if it has one or whatever. Look in the manual for shutdown diagnostics and it should tell you.

I looked over the owners manual and it only shows me the meaning of the error, which is one flash of the parking lights that means that the engine is on, ultimately canceling the remote start. I will check my tach wire later today, however I don't know how to reprogram it. Any input will be gladly appreciated =]

Hmmm............ Maybe you have one of the power wires hooked up wrong like an ignition or accessory from the remote start hooked up to constant 12v from the car causing it to think the car is on. I don't know the tach programming procedure for that brand.
