Hows it goin' everyone?

My names Pete. I live in central NJ. I just bought a 96 Hatch dx 5spd bone stock. Im new to hondas, always had domestic cars or trucks. Always liked the ek's, so i finally found one i could afford and got it. Its got no honda rott, just needs some body work. At one point someone either got sideswiped or hit something in it cuz the fender is dinged up pretty good and the hood is too, nothing major. The worse part is the rear quarter, its pushed in a little, so im focusing on body work rite now before anything else. It can use paint anyways, its black and i think dam near all the clear coat is peeling and fading. Im just going to pull the dent out do the body work myself, and then just replace the fender. I like the black so im going to get it painted black again. I definately have big plans for it though, love the jdm style. I want to get some lips, HIDS, fogs ,coilovers and rims after the body work is done. Also a nice cold air intake and mellow exhaust system for it. I was looking at Tanabe, they have nice stuff and not to bad on price. Well thats it for now, ill start a build thread once i get started.

:welcome:

Always nice to see a fellow hatch. It definitely needs some body work, but hey as long as it runs good, body work is nothing.

That was definitly a good find, for the price. Plus the fact that you don't have to deal with any rust is awesome

i recently just swapped in a JDM B20B from a 99-00 CR-V back in march i love it.

if your looking at swaps i would just disregard the d-series since thats what you already have.
b series is probably the most compatible considering most of your harness can be used with it and all you have to do is change over to a few b series parts.

if your leaning towards b series:
if money is tight, go with a b20b or an LS.
if money is no issue, go with a gsr or a type r
there is also the b16 but its not worth it considering how much they are they are an overrated engine. they dont make that much torque

also, you can do what youd like for suspension but me personally im saving up for full coilovers
