Would you believe that someone said they didn't know escorts could be modified?? Pretty much the same engine as a Miata, minus the whole Transmission/Transaxle issue, and exhaust mani which is built for the Miata at a slight angle for rear exit exhaust.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, I'll amend said post. They aren't much harder to mod than a Civic, but finding good aftermarket parts are few and far in between unless you wanna spit some big bucks and get the higher end stuff. About the best thing we can do motor wise is a VJ11 Turbo from the 323GTX, and I've even seen one cat install a Thunderbird Supercoupe Supercharger on his. I plan on having the wifes car about neck and neck with mine as far as power goes, but judging by the responses I've gotten thus far, it's gonna be a bit of a challenge.
