hello cc members,
I currently drive a 98 civic DX and there has been something bugging me when driving.
When I'm driving in 1st gear at pretty low speeds (about 5/10mph .5-2k rpm) in the parking lot at work, I notice a whining sound. Its a sound that sounds similar to the sound that you hear when in reverse.
I have searched other forums but I couldn't find the answer. A lot of people seem to point out this problem, so it's starting to make me think that it's normal. I just got the car a year ago as the second owner and it has always been doing this. But the sound only comes out when I go at a constant speed at low rpms in 1st gear.
The engine is stock (d16y7)
My car has 92,xxx miles and I changed the clutch at about 90k. My MTF was changed at the same time and filled all the way.
any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
