I'm surprised they don't get parachutes. I mean in the event you fall off for some reason, can't you still pull the string at 1700 feet and land safely?

If you jump out of a plane, I dont know. If you fall off that tower....of course. People do base jumping where they jump off s**t much much MUCH shorter than this.

a friends uncle does this job he makes close to $1,000 dollars a job depending on how tall the tower is they replace the bulbs regularly regardless of how long the bulb last. i was thinking of working with him .

I used to be scared of heights. But in my last job I worked for an electrician company and the building we worked on was 52 storys high and one of the tasks I had to do was climb the very top of the building to put lights up. it was pretty nerve racking. But this dude is nuts! I think I could do it. but im sure once you get all the way to the top hes probably like OH f**k! lol I know I would be!!!

the farthest ive been was about 95' out from the truck in a basket putting a 15'x30' banner on the side of a warehouse in 15-20 mph wind gusts. the basket was about 8' and i weigh 150. i got drug across the basket twice, just trying to hold on to the bottom corner.
