i have been super busy at work and s**t, but i have had some time to work on the truck. i worked 140 hours last week, so it was hard to find time, but i am off this week and the truck has to be movable to go on a trailer by wednesday night for this show i am going to in parker arizona, so idk if i will have time to upload pics or not, but the truck is fully body dropped and mounted back up. there r a few things i am not happy with, but dont have time to fix before the show, so theyre just gonna have to wait for now..GTFO! lol, you know everyone is interested...
i will try to get pics up though if i have time. i really should be in the garae right now rather than on the net, but u gotta take some breaks...
i already have 1st gen rx7 seats and theyre nice, but the headrests r chopped off. so either imma buy new headrests and reupholster the seats or get fc seats to match the theme. i really dont want rx8 seats. im pretty sure they sit too high for what im going for, but thatnks for the compliments!

weird...For you to find out
well its been a long time since i have updated, but i have been in a super crunch trying to get this thing ready to roll on a trailer.
but i took a few pics along the way and got it mostly back together, so ill give u guys a few piktars..
so i took the cab off as u guys know and i have to build a new frame under the floor in the cab so the floor sits at stock height thus the "stock floor body drop" i am going to have to make new front mounts for the cab but on the rear mounts i just cut them off the frame and dropped them down and welded them back on.
i also had to cut out the tranny xmember and there was another xmember behind it that did absolutely nothing, well besides rigidity lol. so both of them had to come out to start the ladder bar setup i am using on my frame then the frame will be trimmed down and filled with box tubing and welded back up..
notice my custom del sol rim tranny holder lol
so i ran 2x2 square tubing parallel with my frame rails and tacked it into place. then i ran gusseting pieces like a ladder for strength. the stock frame still needs trimmed, but that can wait lol....
heres the bed all cutout and laid on the ground...
my buddy nick getting his hands dirty with the sawzall.. some new wall art also(one drunken night, that oughtta be a selling point for the house eh?)
cab back on and test fitting fenders...
bed stil needs cut out and dropped the rest of the way..
i would like to tell u that sectioning the crossmember and lowering the mounts was a lot of fun, but it f**king wasnt lol...
lots of measuring and figuring out where to cut... so gay...

ive been saving this hood for a long time waiting to put it on lol. its not everyday u see a doored truck with a stock hood...
tilt bed anyone? haha jk..

i spent a lot of time on this tranny crossmember and then realized it wasnt goint to work lol... but it will do for now..

little enough for u guys? funny story behind this picture lol. i got it lifted and the bags full and had the switch box crudely wired up and had the old lady ready and waitin for when i pushed it out of the garage to drop it since thats my only source of brakes right now and the ground came off of the switchbox and the truck would drop so here i am trying to stop the truck lol. it was almost a disaster. luckily i had set out a engine mount just in case to throw under the tire, but thats where the truck ended up.
well its ready for a trailer. after this pic i finished painting the bed and put the dash and steering back in... should have it loaded here shortly..

what tail lights you using again? lookin good. oh and is the bed going to be that full of tanks? will it be sealed up on top? will the bed be exposed to the road-i.e. no bed in the bed? hows the front end conversion coming? toyota right?

prolly gonna run some led strips for tails but im not sure yet. imma move my air tank well actually get rid of it and get two smaller ones and run a compressor to each one and hide them under the 4 link. then imma put a sheetmetal bed floor in it so its all going to be covered eventually

This build just gets better and better! Progress is amazing thus far, I'm sure everyone at the show will lovee it and be jealous! So how much more body work until you can start getting that engine together and in?
as soon as i can get my damn turbo mani(very sore subject) then i can start mounting the intercooler and radiator and start plumping and wiring. then i will drive it for awhile as it sits and then do final teardown for paint and interior and a full rebuild of the engine and all that fun s**t so hopefully by next year at this time i can call it done or atleast in final stages...
and this truck is nothing compared to a lot of other builds. there are many way more talented and richer dudes out there. this isnt bad for a pretty low cost build so far. hopefully it turns out...
