Really random, but I had to write a sonnet modeled after Shakespeare's 141st sonnet, a sonnet that demonstrates true love by picking out a bunch of criticisms, but stating that you love the subject regardless. My topic of choice-my civic, of course (titled "civic humanism"). find something that speaks to you and put it up (maybe even write your own). show your love for your ride!!
Civic Humanism
Oh my Civic, which I frequently drive
You are not sport, you're a family car
It seems you are dying, barely alive
To find what looks like you, I'd not go far
Your interior so plain and so tan
You have a small engine which can't do much
Hard to find parts cuz you're shipped from Japan
The leap forward when I let out the clutch
When I pop the gas tank, it never springs
I can hit a bump and hear a slight squeak
Sit so damn low, come close to scraping things
Year? Ninety-five, practically antique
Yet time and again we cross the finish line
And at moment I'm proud that you're mine
