Where I live (Big Island , Hawaii) There is lots of Honda enthusiasts (From what I see around town etc.) BUT...
The people I usually meet and chat with frown upon Hondas in general? Why is this? ***Example*** I asked one dude about his car club etc etc, He was like" Sorry brah, no hondas unless you got a NSX" followed with a cocky a** laugh & grin remark.


its been bothering me since I just recently moved into my area and feel like I have been dropped in some kind of car brand war or something to be more clear to name a few( The Nissan , toyota and VW ) drivers totally stare me down and flip the bird a few times even.

Whats the beef?!?!?! Is it just my area or is it like this all over???

OP, in my eyes people don't like Honda's because many people "rice" them out. Very common to see a fart can, euro lights, giant wings, body kits, etc on a Honda, with no actual power mod. Basically all show, no go.. A car that well... according to fast and furious "looks" fast, though couldn't beat my grandma in her buick. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of clean Honda's out there, they just tend to have a stereotype, unfortunately.

I TOTALLY agree with this. I cant tell you how many people drive like assholes once I pass them. That whole "racing, even when the other person doesnt know it" applies to people who see hondas. Its happened to me with EVERY kind of car. Somebody thinks that just because I pass them on the highway or two lane road means I want to race. And my car is STOCK.

But I agree that MANY other car enthusiasts from other cars are much more respectable. I got the wave back from a nicely restored '67-'69 Camaro when I was driving my POS '94 V6. THAT is how it should be...doesnt matter what the person drives, just being respectful because someone shares the same interests as you. I shoot an AK, I dont flip people off who shoot AR's

My hometown has a very low Honda game, it's mostly subies and bimmers here. The few Honda's that are here, unfortunately... a blue si with an amazing engine bay, but an.. interesting body kit... and a lime green honda with a giant wing and a blown headgasket, lol. The guy with the blue Si is actually an awesome guy and knows his stuff, he's just all show. The green civic revv's me up like he's the man and all he does is blow smoke out his exhaust at me. He did this two weeks ago to me when we happened to be across from each other at a light. He smoked up the guy behind him, and I let him hear the BOV He farted off when the light went green, and the guy behind him (Corvette), looked at me and we just kind of shrugged at each other.

There is one other Honda I caught at the track from my area with a B20, guy was cool s**t. Same color and trim as my car too, lol.

I agree with Denny completely, Honda scene hate each other for the most part. I drive with my friend in his suby they wave to each other, etc... and most (not all) modified honda's I see, just like to show me their fart cans.
