I feel your pain on that part. A lot of kids from high school are trying to copy what I have now As a result, I'm looking for a way out of the game with a new DD while the Civic becomes a project car.The answer is unfortunately simple... MOST Hondas are fail.. most Honda owners are twice the fail of the actual car.. so maybe 6 times out of 10 you end up with a POS car driven by an obnoxious D-bag who thinks his car is actually cool... this gives Hondas (and owners) a bad name this is why most Honda owners get a bad name... I can honestly say that MOST of my encounters with other "enthusiasts" were poor while owning my Honda... it was either some dumb ass with a stock single cam bouncing off the rev limiter trying to race me.. or some scumbag criminal "wanna be thug" type casing out my car on the rare instance I attended a meet.. NOT talking s**t on Hondas.. but my experience as a Mustang owner has been entirely different... in fact about the only thing I DON'T miss about my Honda was the countless lame people I encountered.....
I will always miss my car.. I loved it.. but I stand by my decision to leave... rwd.. torque... man.. what a change.. and on top of that mostly old heads in this scene.. so it remains pretty drama free.. god I gotta get my Mustang back on the road! lolI feel your pain on that part. What I got out of this was:The answer is unfortunately simple... We, the staff at Club Civic, would like to give you the Member of the Month Award!!!!!What I got out of this was:
Honda Car = Fail, where Fail = 1
Honda Owner = Fail * 2
Being obnoxious = x
6/10 = (Honda Car + Honda Owner) * Being Obnoxious
6/10 = (Fail + (Fail *2)) * x
6/10 = (1 + 2) * x
6/10 = 3x
(6/10) / 3 = x
x = .2
SO in theory, being obnoxious is 2/10 the Honda drivers get a bad name. Meaning .4 is just owning a "Ricey" Honda.
If .2 are obnoxious, that seems a little low. If we inrease to 8/10 rather than stated 6/10, we get .2666666... rounding to the nearest whole person (I mean come on, when do you ever see just over half a douchebag?), we get .3, which is 3/10, aka one more douchebag per Honda owner. Sound right?
And that is the most math I have done in a very, very long time.
And Ive met just as many lame domestic owners (Mustang to be more precise). It goes both ways. There are lame/dirt bags in every scene you can think of. It's the ones who get the attention, who gives everyone a bad name. I had a guy in a purple (yes, purple. Barney purple to be exact) Mustang just flat out pull infront of me and just stop in the middle of the road infront of me, when there was NOBODY infront of him and the next light was green. What did I do to piss him off? I drove by him when the previous light turned green. So, all in all, guys who drive purple Mustangs are fags.The answer is unfortunately simple... sure.. there are a*****e people who drive EVERY type of car... but in my area at least.. MOST domestic owners are older more mature guys.. and import owners are generally younger more annoying "gangstas"... we are talking about MODIFIED car owners here as well.. not just regular drivers of cars.. I am speaking also of the "scene" in general.... the last time I went to an import meet it was mostly comprised of people who literally gave the impression of scoping out my car and making a shopping list.. the last domestic meet I attended was a bunch of older guys drinking coffee standing around in a lot talking about cars.. having been involved in both... having owned both.. in my area at least.. there is a night and day difference..And Ive met just as many lame domestic owners (Mustang to be more precise).
