I have a ef hatch and my tail lights won't turn off when I turn off my lights/car. My friend told me this means that my brake master cylinder is going out, is this true? I thought it would just b a short or a fuse. What's ur opinion?

This is an easy fix. Down on the brake pedal, there's a rubber grommet in a small hole. It's not on the pedal part where your foot rests, but it's up on the arm of the assembly. In the hole there's normally a rubber grommet and this grommet pushes in a button that turns the brake lights off when the pedal is not being pressed. If you go to the parts store and get a body panel clip, you can put it in the hole instead of the grommet.
The grommet probably got hard from being hold and crumbled away. Here's a pic of where to look. I put a red dot where the grommet would go.
