There were a lot of people in the world trade center... and given Islam's popularity around the world, there's almost a 100% chance that there were muslims in the center when it went down. So they can't have a place of worship near a site where their own people died as well?

with that said I think it valuable to at least address the following points of interest..

* funding for this "mosque" would come from ALL over the world.. and I would think it be CRITICAL to make sure none of this money is coming from those scumbags who are associated with terrorists..

you along with others are assuming that.. the truth of the matter is if you look at history it seems pretty clear that the land was intended to be a white christian nation.. in fact the original 13 colonies even had state run religion.. Christianity was heavily woven into the fabric of the nation at the time.. and let me tell you.. if a bunch of crazy musket wielding Muslims had come here starting s**t back then the original people of this land would have handled it.. they weren't afraid to get in there and handle business.. lol
