He can not like it and still participate in the thread. He has voiced his opinion in a relatively civilized manner, he did nothing but disagree with the opinions of others. I, along with the other moderators who have some sense, will have no problem if he continues to participate in this thread.

Now, as for my opinion on slavery:

First and foremost, I absolutely REFUSE to "pay" for something that white people did several hundred years ago. Saying that white people should pay now for the slavery that occurred is like.....saying Muslims shouldnt be able to build a Mosque where they want because OTHER Muslims f**ked up before them.

Second, blacks have no reason to complain. If it werent for white people bringing them here, they wouldnt be able to go to KFC...........they would still be hunting their food with spears.

Do you even know why the guy turned down Donal Trumps offer? Ever heard of capitalism? Perhaps the economic system our country is run on? Dude that owns the land paid a certain amount of money for it, stated very publicly that he did not want to sell the land unless it was for a huge profit (yes, a stupid idea that will never come to fruition), not because he wanted to piss on everyone elses cheerios. Sure, they are stepping on toes by trying to build it where they are, but with all the right wing nut-jobs in our country it wouldn't last anyways. It would be people like you who would be stupid enough to vandalize and even make direct attacks on it after it was built, almost like a reverse 9/11. Don't get me wrong, yah, 9/11 was real shitty, but just because one person did something wrong doesn't mean it should spoil everyone elses time. I hate to break it to you 'bro' but if anything, across ancient history it has been proven that Islam a) evolved out of Judaism in the very early middle east (just like christianity), b) didn't take us into the dark ages because they feared repercussions from god (like the christians did), and c) was perhaps the most fair and common religion out there (ever heard of the ottoman empire?). You should seriously learn something from a thread like this. You are taking no evidence to prove anything you're saying, and then when someone else states a fact, you accuse them of providing new evidence. And to address your last point, the world would be a much better place with NO RELIGION because almost all of them are mandated to slay non-believers in anger. You may be 18, but you act like a 12 year old with the way you structure your arguments. Quit watch so much fox news channel, maybe you wouldn't be so brainwashed.

again the difference is growing past ancient times.. sure.. Jews.. Christians.. Muslims.. ALL committed crimes against people.. but seriously.. think really hard.. when was the last Buddhist suicide bomber.. or the last Christian plane hijacker.. sure there are isolated nut jobs.. but the middle east is FILLED with crazy militant Muslims.. who would KILL to be in "heaven" and I mean that literally.. the difference is history moves forward and people learn and become more moderate.. the Christians of today are not exactly the same Christians who slaughtered people early in history.. times change.. people change.. but not Muslims.. a LARGE majority of them will forever hate the US and its people due to our meddling in the middle east.. they have in large numbers been committed to a holy war against Israel and its allies.. this is what makes Muslims unique when compared to other religious groups..

But you are NOT acknowledging ONE SIMPLE FACT. We live in America, a country where we CANNOT restrict someone doing something based on what religion they practice. It doesnt matter what you think, thats the bottom line.

no no no.. you are missing the point completely.. it is kind of like over in that s**t hole Africa.. the point being that YES people do shitty things through history.. we sit and have a pity party over 911 but yet 60+ years ago we dropped two of the most destructive bombs to ever f**king exists killing.. maiming.. and so on.. I mean I guess in Japan you could at least say it was retaliation and we were involved in an active war so it was a little different.. whatever that is totally off topic.. the point more so is this.. you have thousands of individual communities, societies, cultures, etc.. through the world.. some build.. and strive.. and achieve.. like the United states.. some where great at one time but now are complete s**t holes that are just about worthless like Africa for example.. the problem is the world is growing and developing at a different rate.. "Christians" at one time did very violent things.. Jews the same.. and so on... EVERY culture has skeletons in the closet.. but MOST of these cultures moved past that type of thinking.. MOST of these cultures no longer try to FORCE cultural or religious agenda through force.. and that is what makes it different for me.. the middle east just seems like it will NEVER let it go when it comes to crazy endless religious war..

Well we wont know if they will let it go or not for some time......just like EVERY other major conflict in history.

However, my point is simply that people are going to use whatever the most effective technique for harming others. It has ALWAYS been that way. So to say "well they kill people with suicide bombers..." Yea of course they do, that is the most effective way for them to kill others. If they had access to some heavier explosives, you could bet your 7.62 lovin' ass they would use them Right now with the internet, its so easy to look up how to make some makeshift explosive, and most of the materials are not hard to come by. I believe that the main difference is that WE ARE LIVING IN IT. Thats why it seems different from what occurred in history. You can look back and shrug at terrible wars that happened in history, because they used swords and maybe had access to inaccurate muskets. But I bet you that back then, people were just as scared shitless of those muskets as we are today of suicide bombers and whatnot. Back then, being able to kill someone without being less than two feet away was a big deal, just like knowing someone could be plotting to attack with explosives is today. Its all about the exposure and the perspective. Explosives today are much more effective than muskets, but COMPARED to what was available at the time, muskets were just as effective psychologically as explosives are today.

Have you ever read the bible? Or a history book? Have we forgotten about the crusades? How about the Thirty Years War (which killed off 25-40% of Germany's population at the time). The Christians aren't exactly innocent. The Christian holy texts (AKA the bible) are filled with violence and killing.

You make a great point Joe, along the same exact base of what I was saying before. I do not support the way they do things, no, but then again, I don't support the way any religion or cult does things. When you really think about it, until the early 20th century, the middle east was still under the reign of the Ottomans, a people that people promoted religious equality. Somewhere back in the 1500s, Isma'il (I) of the Safavid empire founded the modern day Shi'I sect of the Islamic religion to counter the Ottomans and their Sunni ways. These two groups have been battling since then for who is the one that is correct when it comes to the Islamic ways. The group that is pestering us here in the USA is the Shi'I. Surely, the Sunni are not innocent of spreading American blood, but we were in their territory. Up until recently, the middle east was kind of living in a hole when it came to social/political/technological changes.

It's just like any other part of history, this too will pass, or it wil be forcefully eradicated. Just because we're alive now doesn't change the fact that it is no different than the happenings in the past.
