I have a d16z6 with about 107k. I dont know if i should swap and sell or boost it. If swap it would probley be a lsv and if boost probley do vitara pistons and rods. stock head maybe cam and a gt28rs. lowbudget build.. and have till march to complete

z6's are one of the nicer motors to boost with. 107k isn't bad mileage either. Do a compression test and if all is well, I say boost the SOHC.

i did it was all 160 but cylinder 2 was 155
thats fine...typically you just want them to be within 10% of eachother

Boost that's single slammer! That's wat I'm doin! I'm almost done too, but the closer I get to see it finished something happens and I have to pay something else! =(

I would definetdly boost that d16! Arp headstuds, new oem headgasket and the stock motor can make 220whp all day. If you wanna build it then vitara pistons, fjt rods, stock crank, stock block{no sleeves or blockgaurd} is a good reliable budget bottom end. You could use the stock head or add new valve springs, valves and a bisi 2.4 cam. People have pushed up to 600 whp throuh d16s with no sleeves or blockgaurd and vitara pistons/fj rods. I wouldnt push it that far but 400whp is easily attainable with right turbo setup and reliable. Good luck and check out turbod16.com and d-series.org for good info.

Boost it!!!!! I'm boosting a JDM d15b vitara setup stock head. But a 5857 precision Turbo will see how much power it would make! FJ has everything u need!
