Here are the two groups I shot on Sunday... better of the two was second..

both shot a little low but I think that is just scope adjustment.. really happy with how the gun shot.. 5 shot groups.. slow from the bench..

This is the rifle..

Is that a AR15 or something like the AR15 and it looks like you dont know how to control your breathing...or do you know how to control your breathing....but all in all good shooting

as written on the images it is a DPMS chambered in 308.. or more commonly known as an AR10.. like an AR15 but a larger caliber.. I don't know what you mean by controlling my breathing... when reviewing groups variations in hit location (1 at 2 o'clock.. 1 at 6 o'clock... etc) when you are shooting relatively tight groups but not hitting POA it is generally an optics/sight issue...

i didnt see the gun type tell after i sent it...but i was close..lol what i am meaning by breathing.. if you slow your heart rate down your not breathing hard or you heart pumping as hard. if your heart isnt puting hard your heart isnt jerking the gun wich will turn out better shots...since you was shooting in a group it will be hard to slow your heart rate down...next time you go out try to slow your hart rate (calim yourself down) and see how you do........hope that made since...lol

I am very calm when I shoot.. again generally in reading targets..

* off point of aim but tight group normally indicates scope adjustment need
* off point of aim but loose groups normally indicates poor form, poor quality ammo, low quality gun, etc..

for example.. I could never reproduce that group with my AK... the rifle is not designed for that type of shooting...

^ this isnt call of duty....kidding... but OP, nice shots and sick rifle!
this ;)

yoru right, its an optic adjustment

that second group, your pulled and didnt squeeze on the trigger one, so that one stray i wouldnt even count

but if you can put 4 just shy of a quarter coin at 100, your technique is soild.

and there is no breathing error at all....whoever said something abouut "breath control"

good s**t -

how far have you ever stretched out to?

I have shot the rifle at unknown distance roughly 150 yards but was not shooting paper.. unfortunately in NJ we don't have a ton of places to shoot.. so I need to locate a range where I can get some more distance.. I really want to put in a better trigger because this is just a typical factory trigger that is in there.. and I am sure if I can get something smoother it may produce even better results. are the results great.. no.. but I am really pleased with them so far.. thanks for the comment on technique.. I was taking my time...lol but what will be the real test will be those 250+ yard distances.. I have no real experience at those distances.. so I guess I will see.. ;)

edit.. it is funny because when I look at the 4 touching.. it makes the first target look terrible.. but I guess even that one isn't that bad when you consider the quarter for size perspective.. lol

i love DPMS... great stuff. nice tight groups!
whoever was talking about breathing, its all based on comfort. some people exhale slowly and squeeze, i usually take a breath, hold it a split second and squeeze... depends on the person. and i can shoot hole in hole, if i take my time, but usually i shoot kinda quick, so my groups tend to spread some.

BTW OC... have you considered a different flash hider?

Good grouping.

Groupings don't mean anything until it's time to actually shoot to kill, imo. "Hey man! I can get groupings in a 1 inch square like it's nothing!" Fast forward a few months or years. "Local man dead after man broke into his house and shot him, police found dead man with gun in hand and found 4 rounds missing, but later found those rounds in a wall."

As a buddy of mine from Afghanistan told me, he could hit a target 300 yards away in the US, but when it came down to when someone else was shooting back at him, he couldn't hit that target if he was at the same distance.

that gun is easily a 400 yard gun.. the only time I would ever be shooting at a live target would be in some imaginary post apocalyptic world.. a 400 yard shot would never be taken in a modern society self defense situation..

as for what I can do what the time comes? I would venture to guess better than the unskilled baboon honing his skills playing "super dark operations navy seals 5" sitting on his ass sucking down cokes and chili cheese dogs....if someone breaks into my house you might find 4.. or even 5 shots in the wall.. but that leaves another 10 in the chest of the unfortunate a*****e who breaks in..;)
