People that don't know f**king s**t about camera's and think megapixels is the only thing that matters. Pretty much every camera today, both dslr and point & shoot, are 10+ mp. A $100 P&S today can take pretty good pictures.
At Thanksgiving, my uncle was like, "how much did you spend for everything total?", while pointing at my camera bag with 4 lenses and D40 body. I said, "About 8 or 900 total". He goes, "how many megapixels is that one?". "It's a 6.1". He says, "Yeah that's why. If you buy one that has 12mp or something, you'll spend at least $5000". I started to smile and almost started to burst out laughing and wanted to give him a reality check but I know it wouldn't have been nice. This guy buys junk computers off eBay that are 10 years old and "fixes" them up and uses them. By "fixes" them, he means my brother or I do all the work while he sits back and watches. And 90% of the time, they don't end up working because they are so old and it's impossible to find driver's because the technology is so outdated. He got a free Dell laptop that looks 15 years old with a busted screen (black s**t everywhere, you can't see 75% of the screen) and is password protected (it won't boot up without a password). He bought my dad this busted up piece of s**t desktop that my brother tried fixing. My brother has been working with computers for over 15 years. He's not a guru but he knows his way around them. He couldn't do s**t with it because it was so old, so slow, so outdated. He almost drop kicked it.
