yeah just mount it to your roof. no matter were you put it its going to get hot and get vibrations its a amp. there is plenty of air in the trunk and it stays cooler there in the summer. i have always mounted my amps to the seats and every system i have installed and i never have issues that setup has been going strong for almost 4 years now.

well your lucky then. With me working in a car audio shop thats the 2 main reason why we would replace an amp

i have worked in multiple car stereo shops and that location has never been the cause of an amp failure if anything its cheap amps that are the problem and bad wiring id say 98% of amps are mounted in the trunk.

Under the seat or attached to the back of the rear seats is where most of the amps I've seen installed.

Ok so that argument solves nothing but create a circle of **** xD No offense. But I do see a lot of amps mounted to the rear seat. but what about under the seat? Wouldn't it be good there? And It would make sense if the amp takes to much vibration it will kill it *IF its a piece of **** amp of course*

Anyway I have another question. a Rockford fosgate T3002 2channel amp for 90$ is that good for powering speakers?
I would like to have an amp for the speakers.

I really don't see any normal size sub amp fitting under the front seat. Either of them. It DEFINITELY won't fit under the back seat, so your only other option would be to put it somewhere in the trunk. The brain unit that controls my flip out touch screen barely fits under the front seat.

I have been installing stereo systems for over 15 years now as a side job type of thing and have NEVER had to replace an amp because of mounting it in the trunk or to the back of the rear seat. Hell, a LOT of people mount their amps right on top of their sub boxes and I have yet to hear them have a problem as well. I never recommend it thought because thieves have a package deal that they can snatch and grab. Cut the wires and they have a box, sub, and amp in one nice little package.

My amps have been mounted to the back of my rear seat for 2 years now and they are doing fine. The amps have been in 4 different vehicles and have lasted 10 or so years in a bunch of different set ups.

Ok so it will all be mounted to the rear seat.
Now how about amp for the speakers?
I found a T3002 Rockford Fosgate for 90$ *Co worker*
I was wondering if it would work? If not what are the specifics I should be looking for?
Channels? RMS?

go for that amp, it is a freakin beast if i remember correctly, rockford is good anyway because they are very under rated and it can do a 2 ohm bridged, its 300W@ 2 ohm bridged but its actually alot more than that like around 700 - 800 or so, as for wire, go with 4 ga. and go with true spec 4 ga. not the walmart s**t, rockford makes true spec so its worth the extra couple bucks... ohh and on the back of the seat will be just fine, it'll probly barely fit but dont worry about too much heat its not gunna melt....

??? your right about using 4 ga but if your running it from the battery to the trunk you could even use 2 ga due to how far you have to run the power cable. make the ground wire as short as possible and use 12 ga wire for the subwoofer. Im pretty sure a 300 watt amp wont be putting out 700-800 watts

thats the thing about those amps, they were ridiculously under rated, look it up  and 4 ga will be sufficient 2 ga will just be bulky and expensive

Ok its just to power speakers...won't even touch the subs haha. The 1400watt amp i have is for the subs it seems to power them just fine. I just wanted to get a good amp for speakers and some new speakers cause these pioneers that came with the car are ****!!!!!! >.<;

Oh and thank you all for the advice so far. It has been a good deal of help. I appreciate it.

Just mount it in the trunk, most OEM cars have their amps in the trunk. My Mom's Impala with the Bose system amp is mounted to the roof of the trunk, just in front of the rear seats, no problems. I know Saab puts their amps behind a plastic cover in the trunk, mounted to the quarter panel. I just wouldn't mount it directly to the sub box.
