Illegal forms of streaming and file sharing that violate copyright laws aren't hurting you because you get them for free and want them for free. But it hurts other people that expect to make money off that stuff or be the only ones that can distribute said items.

It's hurting the people, who own the intellectual property, financially. By you watching it on a service that streams it illegally, it's not producing the owners profit, the only people who profit are those who host it illegally.
If you owned a products copyright, and found someone using that product to make a profit that you did not give written permission to reproduce or redistribute, you'd want them to stop, right?
not holding doors or letting other people merge. I always let people over and it pisses me off when they dont do the same
And I don't think people realize that when making a left turn onto a 2 or more lane road, you're supposed to turn into the left lane and then signal over to the right when possible.
I was coming up to a light and this old grandma was waiting to turn left. She went almost the same time I did but I was going faster and she ended up rubbing her front bumper on my rear wheel / bumper because she went straight into the right lane. Dumb b***h had no clue how to drive. I was yelling at her, "You do know left turn is supposed to yield to right turn right?". She had no idea what the hell I was talking about.
There should be a certain age limit where you need to re-take your drivers test every 2-3 years. My friend almost got side swiped going through an intersection because an old man didn't stop at the red light and just went straight through and made a right turn almost into my friend. He swerved into the middle of the intersection to avoid him.

yeah,lane cutting piss's me off also.people do it when making a right turn also,they just go right for the left lane.my favorite part is when you you honk or yell at them they act like your the idiot!!

it isnt pointless. Its a dumbass law, it isnt taking away from their profit. i dont use tvshack for the movies that are already in theaters (i understand thats taking money away from them) im talking about old episodes of tv shows, i dont see where im stealing anything and stopping them from making money. it will be a cold day in hell before i spend 50 bucks on a dvd season im going to watch once so either way they arent losing money.
You may have a valid reason but it's still illegal nonetheless. Do I pirate things? Of course I do.
If, say, MASH was a TV show you wanted to watch and it was no longer airing re-runs, you would have to watch it some other way right? Most people will pirate, some will buy it. It's people that pirate (like me or you) that take money away from the company. Just because we don't agree with the atrocious pricing or how much money a company makes doesn't mean that by downloading their s**t, they still make money, because they don't.

People pay the owners of the tv show rights to put them to dvd, run them on as re-runs, etc. Just because they are old episodes doesn't mean that they are free for anyone to watch where ever they want. Even the old ass shows that are run very late at night on networks like Nick at Night are paying out to whom ever owns the rights to it.
Just because you don't understand or don't like it doesn't make it any less illegal.
I hate the fact that the speed limit on my street is only 25mph. That doesn't make it a dumb ass law. It's that way for a reason. Same as why sites like tvshack get shut down. The copyright laws are there for a reason and sites like that are breaking them. Doesn't mean that I don't watch stuff online, hell, I watched the newest Harry Potter from right here where I am sitting now. I just don't cry about it when the sites I get stuff from get shut down, because I know it is going to happen and I know why it happens.
