Ok so i just sold my 04 mazda rx8 to buy a family ride for wife and kid and now im looking to go honda ive been looking at the 98 ish civic models and looking at maybee a b16 or k20 swap but to b honest i know nothing about civics and coming from an rx8 im not even in the piston set mind frame either is this a good choice im not looking to sink a lot of money for the care being the engine work will cost the most also i want a 4 door dont really know if that matters on anything lol i sound like a clueless noob

a k20 is going to push MUCH more power than the b16. thing is, a stock k20 is going to be pretty damn expensive unless you can find a decent deal, and from the k20 swaps i've seen, you wont be able to work in PS or AC. a b16 is a nice way to go. its somewhat cheap, there are really nice bolt ons for more power, AND you can keep PS and AC. just IMO though, do what you really want to do. if you want to do a k20 swap, stick with it, and don't cheap out. good luck man! and welcome.

kool didnt know about the ps and ac thing got to find a civic first then ill look into the b16 every time i hear or read about civic i hear b16 or k20 im really just looking for reasonabkle gains not crazy power

Imo a b16 is overpriced underpowered and overated. Hence why si 00s swap in gsr's. If yu want decent power for crap and would like a/c and ps go ls. If yu want more power go gsr and if ur ballen go k swap

yeah, agreed. i was just comparing my opinion on just the two engines he mentioned.

ok remember im coming from rotary motors 14b 20b when u say gsr ls i just dont know what u mean i think gsr means b18 but dont know what ls is
