Coupe vs. Hatchback

So i really want like the the body style of a Hatchback Dx but i dont have enough money to swap or boost it. And i like the coupe EX but not as much as the hatchback, but at least with the coupe i get 20 more horsepower. So should i go bodystyle or engine i like? or should i just look for an Integra?

I would go bodystyle, because you can save money and get a swap later on...

i go body style also....i love my little coupe and instead of a swap im going with a built turbo d16 thats already in it...just get a body style you like with an engine to hold you off until you can afford the swap

I'd just get which ever you like most. I've got a 99 sedan and I love it, even with the slow engine. It's fun to drive and looks awesome...just get what you like

Just go with an ls swap (b-18) its not expensive if you know how or know someone that can put it together for you.
If you buy it complete it will be more. but these engine are cheap if you put them together yourself

Welcome to the site. First, which generations are you referring to? You never specified anything past hatchback dx and coupe ex. As for the job, that's what the other two days and weekends are for. The head swap......if you have to ask, then it's probably too complicated for you to do by yourself. Try and find a friend who has some experience with working on motors, or check out the regional sections to try and find someone from this site who can help you.

Staying motivated for what you want is the key ! I'm Also 16 and I have a DX Hatch, Although I do have a job and I am slowly getting parts for my car. Im also realizing everything takes time to get when your cash flow is very minimal 0_o I say clean up your civic first, you don't want a beater with a swap do you?

B20 is the cheapest way to go. slap an SI head on it and that baby is gonna scream. an Si tranny swap will be nice too since the gear ratio is very short on those transmission. good luck
