I can pick this shell up for like dirt cheap... Should I do it? I just need a motor which shouldn't be too hard to find for a few hundred bucks! I need a new daily driver!

*It has a front bumper (just taken off), the body has no rust and is a 7/10 (small dings, a few bumps, and has 3yr old Maaco paint job), interior is 9/10 however. The only real things that I WOULD change is the tint, fix as many dings as I can myself, and like... wash the crap out of it. Oh yea and it comes with black steelies which I could care less about, andddd a CLEAR TITLE!

Just a little secret I'm going to let you guys know... Since none of you are in my area and most likely wouldn't get the same price as me or steal the car before I can get to it... I can pick this complete shell up for $300, clear title with no motor/tranny/ecu.

I've already found a few single cams for like 200-300 motor only, and one motor/tranny for 400 but needs rings =/ I'm really wanting an LS to haul around this little shell... The cheapest I've found for it is 1000 for motor only... I want to spend no more than 1200 for motor/tranny if I DO get an LS.

It looks alright, Out of curiosity what kind of front wheels are those? They look like limited edition Acura CL wheels, which are 4x114.3...

Those are Special Edition LS Meshes (14" and 4x100).

Ive found my newest set of wheels then. I was looking at the Acura CL mesh wheels and I love them, sadly they're 4x114.3 and won't fit my EJ8. Maybe I can find a local set of those style meshes.

I would be on that car as soon as possilbe too.

They are also called Special Edition LS Webs, it really depends on the person and what they're used to calling it. Anyway, they look like this:

Or I can buy it, swap in a GSR motor, hook up nitrous to it, blow the motor, sell the car, and pick up a foxbody.... jussayin'

Yea, I know in other areas 1k for an LS motor is legit, but I have faith in my connects and I'm sure a cheaper one will turn up soon... I just hope I can find the guts before the body is gone!

Could always pick up the shell on a trailor and take it. then get the guts. But damn, in my area you can get a complete running ls for under 500 with no tranny. I actually have a friend holding a one for 400 for me. and a tranny for like 200 to 300.

That's not bad, but over here, B18's are in high demand since people love boosting the s**t out of a motor and whenever that blows up, they'll just pick up another. I can pick up the shell, and then leave it there... It's actually been sitting there at my friends place for over 2+ years... A lot of interests but nobody willing to tackle on the job. I don't mind, but I don't really have THAT much free time.

doesnt seem like its to much free time. and a swap is only one free weekend. i say go for it. You said you would use it as a new daily so it doesnt need to be at show car standards. your decision though

Yea, that's true... I'm already putting forth the effort in actually trying to find a motor and pretty much have my mind set on picking up the car.

that would be relevant to me if that was what happened.. if you going to pick.. at least get the story straight..;)

if you want to buy that POS.. you have every right in the world to.. you asked.. and I answered.. don't get all e-hurt over it..

the irony of the situation is that in parting it out I got MORE for the car than I wanted for the whole thing.. so really blowing it up was the best thing that could have happened.. lol
