find a place that will run a clutch bypass.

basically, they have to install a system that tricks the car into thinking the clutch is depressed when it starts. only downside, you MUST MUST MUST remember to leave your car in NEUTRAL with the e-brake set, or else you might find yourself running after your car.

yeah i was kinda worried about the whole clutch deal but i want to rig something so when the car is in gear the remote start wont work like a negative switch

will the remote start absolutely not do a manual? alot of them will anymore, if anything look at directed electronics, they have a module that will make them work on a manual trans safely, ill look up the part and get back to you...

:EDIT its called a 689m manual safety module

The DEI part # is 689M. It makes sure the car is in neutral before the remote start actually cranks the car up. In addition to that, every time you exit the vehicle you have to engage the e-brake twice so that the next time you remote starts, it turns on. It's a safety sequence.

the new viper le, LC3, and SST all have a manual transmission mode. zenesis alarms, compustar, autopage all have manual trans modes. get an alarm that is designed to work with a manual trans and you won't have problems. no making things think they are something they're not.
