Ok, well I've been on the site for a little while now reading a lot and looking at a bunch of build threads, and I've made a list of what i want to do so far. Unfortunately i don't have the money to go all out but I still want it nice. So let me know what you think.

First things first: Exterior
Type R front and rear lips
Type R (or diy) grille
New OEM hood ( mine has a few dents from the prop)
Remove rear fender rust and fix a few dings on the doors
Then after all that is I'm going to get it painted a Glossy black, and color match everything.

After the body is done comes the Suspension
Skunk2 lowering springs for a 1.5-1.75 inch drop (roads are somewhat bad here)
Skunk2 Tuner series front camber kit
Skunk2 Rear camber kit

Then Apexi WS II cat back exhaust

Then save up for wheels: Kosei K1- White 15 or 16 inch

Interior and engine I have a few ideas but I'm not quite sure about yet...

Don't waste your money on camber kits. They are absolutely unnecessary for 5th or 6th gen civics. Period.

Skunk2 springs are decent, might want to pick something with rates you might like better at that price point too. Don't get all caught up in buying one companies product. Especially Junk2.

At the age of 17 I can imagine there are a lot better things to be spending your money on than an econobox.

What do you mean by econobox? and what would you reccomend? Its not that I'm trying to stick to 1 brand its just that they seem to be good quality from what I've heard and the prices are pretty good imo. Have'nt done too much shopping around though...

Econobox means you are planning putting money into a car that is meant for fuel efficiency, not speed. Civic's are not meant to be fast. For the money you are listing, you could have a pretty fun car.

Ahh I see. Thing is a fun car would make my insurance insanely high. I'd love an s2k or mx5 or something but being 17 with under a year of driving and owning my own car, insurance makes it expensive. As it is I'm paying $309 a month. And thats an extremely low rate for a kid like me around here.

I guess that's the price I have to pay if I want to drive.

young rabbit, good luck and be prepared to work alot and spend lots of money. You save money if you are able to get your hands dirty and work on your car. Just buy manuals and read threads and DIY's. I dont like the fact that your car is a four door and I never liked the back end of your model, but I've seen alot of people work on these cars and pull of an awesome look.

I have skunk2 coilovers and i like them? i wouldnt call them gay. I also agree that camber kits arent useless. When you go so low, you need them if you want any tire to touch the ground
