Short ram exhaust as in short ram intake?
Well most of those short ram intakes do not have the carb sticker on them. I would suggest just going with AEM SRI on ebay or wherever. I got mine for around $100 and they're legal. Of course many of the members here will tell you that an intake does no good for anything all it is good for is looks.
As for the catback i have no idea.

Also, welcome to the site. :headbang:

yea i figured out what a cat back is by searching fourms like 3 minutes after posting =/
and i like the look of the short ram intake and i think it helps temps a little more then the OEM version. so im gunna pick up a sweet AEM when i get my muffler tip in like 1-3 weeks.

Did you get a catback or an axle back? Catback will make sound better depending on size and whether it is straight through or not and they usually do more for performance. As of an intake, they are basically good for sound, you wont see much horsepower difference and the few you gain come from being able to suck more air into the motor than the stock airbox. My intake made a little difference on my b16 but the VTEC crossover sounds a lottttt sexier now, but cold air ones are usually even louder but you need good wheel wells in order to have one for if it brings in too much water bye bye motor.

Ok first of i went out and recorded my car's exhaust sound for you, i have an apexi ws2 on it.

And ok get and b20 block: cp pistons, eagle rods, possible bored by 1 or 2mm
For the VTEC to work look up a golden eagle kit on ebay: its 200 bucks
GSR head: blox or skunk2 camshafts, hytech or megan headers (ive only heard good things about both), edelbrock intake manifold, bigger throttle body, short ram intake, valves, springs + retainers, and powder coat the valve cover for looks =)

That setup should push at least 210 at the crank ive gotten a garage to claim at least 230 at the crank, which means, between 190 and 210 at the wheels.......but you are looking at a few grand and some time lol
