What year car? Cus If it's for the 96-98 type r looks wrong on it. If it's 99-00 then both lip looks fine. I have the mugen one on my car right now for winter but I'm going to put my 98 oem optional lip on later. I rep replicas and right s**t. It doesn't matter if it's oem or not a plastic is a plastic which will break

This is unfortunately a very rare point of view that Honda enthusiasts have.

I noticed that around here. "What color should I paint my car?" "What rims should I put on it?" "What lip should I buy?" etc...etc...etc.

Hey, I used to be all about pleasing others and actually did the show scene with my VW bugs. I woke up one day and realized that they weren't the ones working their asses off and putting money into the cars....it was me. I have saved a TON of money since then.

Your car looks dumb. It doesn't fit, and you haven't painted either your grill or your lip.

Real CTR lips are only a few hundred bucks, they fit better, hold paint better, and look better.

The "Type-R" lip you posted isn't a type R lip. The real lip doesn't poke out as dramatically as the knock offs do. The oem lip was available as an option to all 99-00 civics all over the world. It looked the same on a type r, ex, etc.

Not to mention if you put a 99-00 lip it's going to look like you're a kid who just thinks the lip makes him look more JDM, even though that part only came to fruition because of kids like you who have 96-98 civic and want a 99-00 lip; and not because it was ever a factory optional part ever.

It doesn't look right.
