Hey guys, I recently have been having a problem with my LEFT sub woofer.
I have 2 10in Bazookas and a 1400w 2channel amp.
Its been working great up until a few days ago. Its not receiving any sound to it or vibrations. my right one does just fin but the left does nothing. the amp shows power going to the left and right speaker equally. So what is going wrong?

sounds like a loose connection in the bazooka tube. did you check to be sure its not a channell of the amp, try switching the speaker wires.

I figured out when I pressed down on the sub evenly and release it, it makes a scratching noise...Bad right? Coil is probably blown. Just my assumption. If anyone could confirm that this is bad and a blown sub please let me know, thank you

Sorry for double post but I was testing my other subwoofer and it does the same thing as this one that is possibly blown. Why? and i mean the scratching noise. but the one works 100% and is super clear and hits hard.

did you check the amp channell, scratches usually are bad but if both are doing it make sure the other speaker is really bad by putting it on a known good channell, basically swap the speakerwires coming out the amp.

Perhaps the RCA for your left channel isn't plugged in.
The scratching usually means a coil's been blown. The other one is probably on it's way.
You can have them repaired at the shop, but you're better off getting new subs, those things are old.

Yeah I am just going to let it run its life. Anyway I am going to go get some new subs. Makes it that much easier. I thank you all for your help.

Take an ohm meter and check the resistance of the sub woofer. If it doesn't register, then yeah that would confirm that the scratching voice coil is toast, or you have a loose connection. If it does register, then it should come up as a 4 ohm load. I don't think Bazooka made 2 ohm subs that long ago.
