so i just finished installing my car alarm. In the process i had to unplug the harness going into the driver's side door to run some wires through the boot. After plugging the harness back in after i was finished, the windows did not work. Fuses in the inside fusebox are good. Can someone help me figure out what the problem is ?

Oh BTW car is a 1992 civic 4dr

Did you double check the harness?

i had the same problem with my 2d 98 ex. i ran some new speakers. sometimes when you unplug the harness the computer freaks out. try unplugging the batterie and then plugging it back in. if that doesn't do it idk
im not too familiar with the 4 door. but thats what i did.
also, did you put your windows into your alarm system, you know, hit a button and they roll up? because if you did thats probably the problem. what alarm system did you put in?

Ok I'll try that and let you know if it works thanks
The alarm is an Autopage RF-425, I didn't hook it up to the windows

Hey check inside the rubber boot & make sure there are no broken wires from the back of the harness itself, my 96 had bad harnesses in both doors when I bought the car so I went to the junkyard & pulled them out of a 97 lx & it fixed my problem, now all my windows, locks, & speakers work.

My power windows in my 98 LX randomly stopped working. I reinforced the ground wire in the harness in the driver door and it fixed it. I just broke out the test light, found the ground, tapped that ground wire and grounded it again inside the door and the windows were fine again.
Is this a common problem with that Gen?

I thin it is a common problem with 5th gen. Theres a ground problem somewhere. I might just have to go through each door and find the ground and ground it to the door like you did
