New guy from Ohio (Now with Pictures)

Hey guys just wanted to swing in and say hello. Im new to the Civic, and sadly the weather is crappy outside to the point where i cant do much in way of pictures. Im from Medina Ohio, I own a 1999 civic sedan (because i have a baby boy 2 months old now) so the extra doors are kinda needed. Unfortuantly its an automatic. Ive been looking for a manual swap scince i picked up the car but Im not having much luck in the matter. I just got done installing the (OEM style) fog light kit with yellow lights. And just picked up the rear disk conversion and integra sway bar. Ill get pictures up as soon as i can. The Car is the dark perl green they had in 1999, and over all in very good condition.

Thanks for the kind welcomes! And its ok to be overly excited! I forgot the mention i also have the windows tinted. 50% (legal) front, and 20% on the rear three. one thing im not really diggin on the car now is the chrome trim around the windows. Is there any way to swap it to the black trim?

So as I was working on getting the rear brakes ready to swap out, 3 of the 4 bolts for the ABS sensors( two for the metal cover and 1 for the sensor itself) broke off. Is there a way I could go with out the ABS on my car? Or will that take a reprograming of the ECU?

Ive been looking high and low for a manual trans swap and so far im not finding anything. i know its almost a big no no to mod an automatic but im also having trouble finding a swap too.

look in any junkyards? that would be your best bet probably and then maybe get a tranny off craigslist

All of the civics around me with in a 50 or so mile radius has had thier manual trans pulled. only parts I have so far are the pedals. I cant even find a wiring harness for the engine let alone the trans itself. Craigs list around me is a no go. I almost feel like Im stuck with the slowmatic. Part of the reason this comes up by the way, is my exhaust is all but falling off, and i ordered up a DC Sports header, Random Tech high flow cat. and a Greddy Spectrum Elite cat-back.

Find someone who totaled their car or parting out. Ebay. Besides that, you may have to make a little drive for parts. Check the marketplace also

are these tranny's really worth 500 bucks? I found one from a junk yard not more then 15 miles from me.

Maybe i just live in the wrong area. I have not been finding any for that little. I may be stuck with the auto matic and in turn limited on what i can do.

so I finally had a chance to take some pictures of what my car looks like right now. Tryed to clean it up some but still not perfect. these are outside only pictures.

the tint is 50%(legal) front and 20% on the rear 3 windows.
I got the fog light kit for Christmas. Its the plug and play version. OEM style.
Sterio is Sony Explode as well as speakers.

Future plans are:
On its way a Greddy Spectrum Elite cat back
DC Sports 4-2-1 header
Random Technologies high flow Cat.
AEM cold air intake.
Black headlights,
front and rear sway bars( Eibach most likely)
aftermarket control arms, some chassis bracing
Manual trans swap if I can find a transmission and wiring,
Lowering
Mugen front lip
and other engine mods if money permits
and one of these wheels types

Sparco Drifts
or

Focal F09's

These wheels will be 15's.

Car looks pretty good man! Definately a good base to start with, and you have the right plans for it. Good choice on rim size too, 15 and 16 inch look best. Maybe get the duplicolor factory match spray paint and paint the grill trim. my friend painted his bay with that stuff after he shaved it, his car is the same color even and it looks spot on with the outside

yeah ive been looking all over for the spray cans. Not having much luck there either.
