It is NOT completely wrong. Just because there is an I4 that beat a V8 does NOT mean that the I4 is a better engine. If that LS2 had as much money in it as the F20, it would have wiped the floor with it.

If we are talking about total cost, including obtaining motor, the f20 will out perform the ls2.

That is why kids now-a-days build hondas, because the cost of building a v8 car is expensive. I've had this conversation numerous times with older muscle car guys (including my dad who is a huge Mopar guy). They all agree that not only is a 4 cylinder that makes 600 whp or more impressive, but that it would cost them more money to run the times that we run in our cars than we put into it.

Might I remind you, those 1/4 mile times are by PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS that get paid to test drive these cars, and they take the BEST TIME from all the runs. Just because the brochure or wikipedia says the car will do xx.x in a 1/4 mile doesnt mean YOU will be able to do it.

That wasn't from Wikipedia, the numbers I got from the Z06 was from a forum, and 11.7 and 11.8 were done by members of the forum. So I would stop assuming, you know what they say about that.

There are tons of variables here. Temperature, altitude, mods, tires, ect.

Now, lets break this down... We're talking about a AWD...~300hp car..vs a RWD z06 vette... LIGHT TO LIGHT in the city.. Are you serious? Is that even a question in your mind? The funny thing was, he wanted to race me to begin with.

The Z06 is almost a full 2 seconds quicker than the Evo. As I said, the Z06 must've had a bad driver.

Heres another for you, Jason. My R1 is 1000cc's 187rwhp, fuel injected, Full GP-R Exhaust, Tuned on a Power Commander, -1,+2. Weights a little over 550lbs. My Yamaha SRX is 700cc's, carb'd, completely stock, weights almost 900 lbs. It will do 114mph in 660ft @ 7.01. It weighs more and has a smaller engine... My R1 1/8th time 7.5 at 109mph was Whats up with that??

Variables. To me, it doesn't make sense how something heavier with less HP (Since the only Yamaha SRX 700 I can find is a snowmobile with 140HP) can be faster than a lighter bike with more HP. Unless the R1 was having problems or was tiring spinning or clutch was slipping. It might also have more torque.

Because I put a o instead of a 0 that means I cant tell what kind of f**king car it is? and it was a c5.

To a certain extent. If you put a regular guy in a car with 800HP and the same identical car but with 300, which one is going to win? The driver is the biggest element in the car, but it's still upto the car on how the power can be put down, downforce, HP, ect.

doesn't make sense to me. I can get a Fox Body Mustang with the 5.0, throw 1000-1200 into it and be in the 11s. Throw 2000-4000 (Depending on mods, brands and other things) into and be in the 10s.

The vette didnt even catch up until 3/4 of the way down the track. Light to Light evo will kill z06 all day.

Something you might want to look into since I do race sleds here in Maine, I ran that time and speed on ICE with studs. On a race track it'd be a lot faster because you don't have to worry about hooking up. I've been riding motorcycles since I was 9 years old, racing them since I was 12. That was the best time of the day with my R1. The only thing that could've made me faster was an extended swing arm and an air shifter.


My civic had oem si wheels on it with falken ziex 512's when I ran that time. I had a whale tail and an exhaust, untuned.
