i didn't get to look at the blue turboed civic. maybe it was for the best. i have come a crossed another deal however. he dropped the price to $4250 and i'm going next week to look. opinions? this is the only pic i have right now. thanks this is also my first car, he said it has 10k HID's, coil overs, exhaust with stock muffler and 4 new infinity speakers.

Did he build it or did a shop do the work i would personally have a hard time trusting somebody elses ls/vtec swap, but thats just me.

^ agreed you need a stock one and need to do the mods yourself instead of just going and buying a built car. If you do the mods when anything messes up you know what you have done and how to fix it and you knowthe mods arent rigged on there. Do you want a car with no ac i may be wrong but it dont look like it has ps either and that is a huge pain in the ass for a dd.

Yes it would be a pain in the ass to put all of it back in and it would be really expensive to get everything needed to do it right. If he didnt do the ac swap with the motor it aint in there know trust me. No ac no ps for a dd i wouldnt buy it.

He didnt put it in because if he was going to put ac in he would have done it when he swapped the motor while everything was pulled out of the way. If it aint in there and you want to put it in you will pretty much have to buy all new stuff unless you want to trust unkown condition used ac condensers and such so i hope you got a grand or more to drop into an ac system it dont have ps so youd have to buy all that and put all that back on. Do you have the tools garage or mechanical knowledge to do those things if not it will be even more moeny casue have to pay a shop to do it. Who built the motor him or a shop?

true. i said he doesnt put ac or ps in when doing a swap. he did it himself (wasnt the first one.) and i would just need the parts. i go to votech for auto mechanics and my teacher is ASE certified.

AC is EXPENSIVE as f**k. To get a shop to put it in expect to pay like a grand

i have a shop thatl do it for free. plus some of my adult friends are mechanics im looking a ac kits and they are like 300

If you think you can do it or want it that bad just get it. Im not trying to sound like an a*****e,but i get the feeling this is gonna end up just like the blue turboed car wih no matter what anybody said you just defended the car. You posted up asking for opions i personally wouldnt get it. Just to many unknowns for me, but your gonna do what you want anyway so let me know how it turns out which ever you decide.

yes your right. there are to many unknowns right now. i'm finding info out slowly because he is at work. if i get any more info or pics ill post it up. i also text my friend thats a mechanic if its hard to install them. isn't civic's light? wouldn't they be fine w/o PS? and thank you for your opinions. i'm just tired of not having a car. there aren't many civics around here.

Its light but it still sucks driving it without it i drove my buddys hatch that didnt have it while my car was down for a while and hated it.
Some people may be ok with it having to put forth that much effore to turn but i drive 60 miles at least a day for work and school so i aint driving all that with no ps.

mine would be just a town car i wouldnt drive that far. maybe on occasions. i looked at PS pumps and they are like 150 not that much.

Thats just the pump you will need more than that. You will need the entire system not sure what all it entails but its more than just the pump.
Why would you buy this car to put even at the best estimates 450-500 into it as soon as you get it not counting other stuff it will or may beed. why not just buy a car with ac and power sterring then you could have that 500 to do mods to it.

you have a point. ive been keeping my eyes open. this is the first one for sale around here in awhile. i wouldnt be going crazy with mods right away seeing no matter what ill have payments + insurance and gas to pay. but i plan on getting a second job this summer for more money.
