2005 Civic Taillights on trunk don't work

Hello,

I am glad I found this forum.

My 2005 Civic Ex has two sets of lights on the trunk lid. Red (on-if headlights are on and stop) and White (backup).
The red lights are not working.

I replaced the bulbs with Sanyo bulbs from Advanced Auto Parts.

Other 2 lights on the trunk/fenders (turn and stop light) are working fine.

Any idea how to find what the problem is?

Honda's owner's manual does not show a separate fuse for these lights, unless I am not reading it right.

Thanks.

This may sound dumb, but does your horn work? My car did that same thing a couple months ago and the only fuse that was blown was the horn fuse. According to my owners manual the horn and brake lights are on the same fuse. I have never heard of this before but I guess it makes sense that if your horn doesn't work your brake lights are out as well.

Quick question. I am having the exact same problem, however I have already ruled out the issue with the fuse. My horn is working fine and the fuse is not burnt out. All other lights are working just fine (outer tail lights, back up lights, license plate, brake, etc.).

Any other ideas on what the issue could be?

Also, I did change the bulbs, so that is not the problem either.

check the wires in the trunk to see if they got pinched off, or came unpluged
