B18C1 Turbo Set Up

Hey, i recently picked up a 1996 Honda Civic Ex, I would like to turbocharge it or supercharge it (I'm not sure really if you can supercharge a honda?) but i'm not really too sure where to start. It's got an engine swap from a 1994 Integra GSR, and a cold air intake, pretty much besides those to things its stock under the hood. I'm gonna try to find some helpful reading material to learn more about this stuff but does anyone have any suggestions of what i should buy and any suggestions of does and dont's? I want it to be pushing around 300-350HP by the end of the project...

Thanks,
Spencer

You can supercharge a honda.
You will need turbo, intercooler, manifold, all the pipping and coupling, injectors, fuel pump and alot more s**t like fpr and defintly a tune program and someone who knows how to tune it. and probably alot more stuff icant think of right now.
What is your budget?

Alright thanks for the reply. I am trying to stay under 4 grand, I work for a shop and we have a dyno that i am allowed to use for free so i dont need to worry about that too much, what is better supercharging it or turbocharging it?

Thanks Again

honda motors tend to respond better to turbos. On top of what was said before you also going to need a 3 bar map sensor. You say that you have a dyno to use, but your going to need to have someone tune it. My guess is that since you are asking questions here, your are not capable of tuning the car yourself

You should be able to get together a good set up on that budget.

Good luck with it keep us posted on your plans and set up.

Boost a B20.. Boosting a GSR will just make it grenade after a little while.

No...

Care to explain why in the world you would possibly think thats true?
If he wants to make almost 350hp on stock internals boosting it.. it won't last that long. It's a higher compression motor. I mean unless he babies the s**t out of it, it really will not last that long. That's just what I've seen come out of boosted GSR's. I would just rather boost a B20.

b20's have thin sleeves that are prone to cracking under pressure/boost.

whats the set up? what size turbo?

The motor is from HMO its a gsr 50,000 miles on it . The turbo is a garret A/R .60 m24 , is that a t4/t3?

its in a 94 civic. I ran 9.3 in the 8th with no traction on 6 lbs, the only thing that concerns me so far is that the oil catch can is filling up pretty quick. I don't believe its a problem with the motor I think some body has the line to the can running to the back of the block, wouldnt you run them to the valve cover? it seems like they defeated the purpose of the catch can? any help would be appreciated

What kinda HP will a b18 gsr hold safely??? I'm running 7 psi right now and I've beat plenty of mustangs
lol mustangs are slow anyway. like got traction said i wouldnt push it much over 300whp if its all stock.
