Never understood the all blue boot and hoses, but red filter thing. Glad to hear it will have an aem on it though i actually spent the money just to order one from aem should have saved the money and did it that way, but couldnt find just the filter for cheap enough at the time.

yeah, sometimes i wouldnt mind being at stock height. scraping can make you cringe at times
I have a steep incline on my driveway so sometimes my front scraps a little, depends on how I back out but assholes across the street keep parking across from my driverway.

Gotta love craigslist
Yea, I posted them yesterday afternoon & got a call at 7pm sold by 8:30pm, can't beat that.

I'm gonna use the filter it comes with till the AEM one shows up, might as well get some use out of it, I'm hoping the blue boot & hoses match enough to add more accent under my hood, we will see.

Yeah i dont blame you i would use it to its not going to hurt anything for the time it will be on there. Im pretty sure it will accent it good i have alot of blue s**t from different companies and i think it comes together pretty decent IMO anyway.

Just checked Fedex tracking & my intake will be here thursday, just in time for the weekend so we will see if the colors clash or not, I don't think they will except for the filter of course.

OK, I installed it, took pics & short video of how it looks & sounds & the camera decided not to take anything, the card was installed in it, everything saved, I'm like WTF? I will post pics & vid later when the wife comes home, sorry, I will report that it does sound better the factory airbox & baffle.

OK, here are the pics & link to a crappy quality vid but you can hear how it sounds.

I'm wondering why it has a second port, I have it blocked off & I covered it with extra tubing for now, ideas on what I can do?

I still need to clean the bay, I haven't got to it yet since the overheating.

Here is the video, I'll do a better one with my real camera & post it on youtube so I can embed it.

OK, got a cap for the extra port, but now I get a whistling sound when driving while its changing gears, almost sounds like a belt slipping so I pulled off the intake & drove it & it still makes that sound just a bit louder, anyone know what might cause that?

Did some research, found out the it may be the idle screw, so I adjusted it & the sound is almost gone, need to drive it to see if there is a difference from before, got to wait till the wife gets home then I'll report back.

The extra port was just because honda intakes are made to fit a huge number of hondas so they come like that so there damn near universal. Even my complete AEM came like that it just included a plug to block it off and said if you drive these modesl throw these models block it off you dont need it. Looks pretty good man will look so much better with the AEM dryflow though. Cant wait to see that on there.

dude i just saw the video clip.. sounds nice.. keep up the good work..! =]
Thanks man, I rerouted some of the hoses & I need to go to the auto parts shop to get a 5/16 heater hose so I can take out that metal hose adapter behind the valve cover off & it will look less cluttered there, I will post a better quality vid today after wifey gets home.

OK done, fixed the whistling issue, it was the idle screw, I adjusted it but now idle around 850-900 with the car at temp, I'll need to get a new o-ring & cap for it but for now we are good & as I promised better quality video for you to enjoy.

Glad to hear you got it adjusted man that would drive me crazy.
If i remember off the top of my head the aem intake i have had at least 2 things that had to just be blocked off the list of models it could fit was longer than the install instructions lol.

I'm having a hard time finding an idle adjusting screw with cap & o-ring online, I will call majestic honda on monday & see what they can do, otherwise it's a trip to the junkyard to find it.

I also love how the intakes sound once you get used to it it wont be as noticeable, but going from stock to the intake you can defintly tell a differemce.
I see a junkyard trip in your future most likely lol.

Majestic Honda had the parts I needed & only cost $20 with shipping, so now waiting on them to come & I'll get rid of the whistling for good, I still hear it but it's not consistant but it's less noticable since the adjustment but I want it to be right.
