lol the only reliability issues on srt4's are the tranny.. i have a built tranny with paperwork for anybody who thinks i got ripped off well you're just retarded. The srt4 is worth way more, faster, newer and less miles. and looked better imo. but for all who don't post hate thanks!
yeah the gti had a crazy stance, it rubbed like a mother. coilovers dropped as low as they went and 20mm spacers. The gti was older, 40k more miles, less mods and less power, didn't run as good and had a substantial sized dent in the quarter. I made out great on the deal.I'm sorry but SRT-4's are giant pieces of s**t. Everyone I've ever known that has owned one has complained about problems and eventually got rid of it for something else that has better and more potential.
And holy caster in the back on the GTI in the first pic? Or is it just the angle of the picture.... GTI looked nice.

Pshht, you got a killer deal out of it. I'm not a big SRT4 fan, but would have definitely done that trade if I were you. And reliability? You don't buy a fast car so you can drive something reliable. My dad didn't buy a Corvette so he could have a reliable DD. I didn't have a Camaro so I could have a reliable DD. People shouldn't be hating on something because it's not what it wasn't built for.
exactly, that is what we are all doing. we are modding a commuter car and makes it the opposite of what its meant to be
Yeah I agree, when you want to go faster you have to mod your car and the more extensive your mod list becomes (for the most part) the more unreliable your making your car. Srt's have their share of problems but most of it is in the tranny and mostly due to the people who had the car before you and how well they took care of them. Everybody who I've ever know beats the f**k out of their srt and they just keep going somehow so joe; I don't know what friends you have that had em but all 6 of mine who have them haven't had anymore problems than anybody else. The po was a firefighter AND a cop and has had everything serviced at the dealership and has receipts for everything. Also has every single little mopar window cling of the oil changes, which were all done at various shops so the maintenance is there.
I cant say for the srt4 cause i only know one person that has one and it was beat on and ragged out when he got it so it breaks all the time, but for the most part as long as the maitence is there you dont dog it 24/7 and the mods have been done by somebody that knows what there doing and if needed its running a good tune then in my experience anything can be reliable. A friend of mine built a boosted b series hatch like 4 years ago and dd's it every day and besides like two things nothing has ever broke on it. Besides reg maintence it has been more reliable than my old 5.0 lol and he dont beat on it, but he isnt that nice to it either. Some people will tell you boosted dd cars are going to be unreliable thats only if they arent done right and or the tune isnt very good anything can be reliable if you want to spend the money on it.
