I was wondering if anyone has a civic 4 door sedan(91) and has an xm radio hooked to it. Wondering if someone could give me some ideas how to run the antenna through the car without dismantling every interior panel. Thank you.

well. when you want to run something, there is a right way and a easy way. The easy way is what your describing, not taking the time to pull everything apart and run it correctly. Honestly, there is only 1 rule to follow in cars, if its not worth doing right, its not worth doing. Its not going to take that long to take off a few panels here and there, honestly even if your a noob it will only take you maybe a few hours on a saturday, especially since all your doing is running a cable. And really, all you have to take off are the under dash, the center consol, and the drivers side pillar, run the wire, zip tie it a few places, and bam, done.

sounds like a lot of work to run a antenna wire. I will look for the easy way to do it.

The easiest way to do that would be, depending on what side of the car the radio is going to be om, take off the corresponding b pillar and run the wiring up there then just tuck it into the moulding running along the top of the inside of the car. Thats what i did and it works fine!

radio is in the dash, so that would be the middle. Your way is dumb.

Easy way? Run it through your window.

Right way? They covered it above.

I suggest the right way.

:word:

Do it right.

If it were MY ride, I'd look at running the antenna up the appropriate pillar and under the headliner, mounting the antenna on the exterior in the center of the roof.

But I'm ridiculously particular. I'd rather do without XM/Sirius than have it done half-a$$3d.

Yeah, it took me all of 5-10 mins to run my wire from the dash to the rear through the panels. Don't be lazy and do it the right way. You'll regret it.
