What Would You Pick...

Alright you guys, its only a matter of time till i park my hatch so i can start the long project... I have big plans for it and since im gonna be in college im not gonna be able to put a lot of money into it, its going to be like a 3 year project, but its cool, im not in a rush... The question here is what would you pick between these 2, a 94 and up fuel injected VW bug, or a 89 nissan sentra... Whichever one i get is going to get slammed, and its only gonna be for school... Basically a DD... What do you guys think...

Well kind of not really, im open to suggestions... But im on a small budget...

i have always viewed bugs as chick cars...i hav never seen a guy driving one to be honest

If you like it go for it man. Im sure it'd look nice if it were nicely fixed up with nice paint. Id still go with the sentra though.

I have had 2 bugs so far. One was turbo and one was not. NEITHER of them, I would have driven as a daily. Granted, mine were a '72 and a '74 but they are on the exact same platform and engine as the later mexico models with the exception of them going production fuel injection in '93.

They are very finicky and require constant maintenance. You have to adjust the valves at every oil change ffs. They can be sweet cars, but I personally wouldn't use them as a daily.

This is what i was looking for, there sweet cars but not for a daily, my cousin had a sentra and it was pretty much slammed, i never rode it but he said its a nice car... Any other suggestions???...
