BUT when i plug the radio's right-front speaker wires to my blue and gray/black wires, which is my right-front, the left-front speaker comes on instead?
There's no blue speaker wire for the Sony.

List what wire you are connecting to what.

And how are you connecting the wires?
i am using nylon crimp caps--->

left-front speaker
* red/green & brown/black connected to white & white black wires

left-rear speaker
* blue/yellow & gray/white connected to green & green/black wires

right-front speaker
* blue & gray/black connected to gray & gray/black wires

right-rear speaker
* red/yellow & brown/white connected to purple & purple/black wires

constant, ground, accessory and all other non-speaker wires are connected
correctly already...

There's no blue speaker wire for the Sony.
no but there are 2 blue wires, a blue/white one that is supposed to
be for an amp, and then a solid blue one for antenna which i am not using..

thanks!

I have only looked at these^ match ups so far, but they are wrong.

Left front speaker splices should be:

Civic-Blu + Sony-Wht

Civic-Gry/Blk + Sony-Wht/Blk

thats because i teared out my left speaker and, for some odd reason, i found
that the red/green and brown/black are on my LEFT side instead of my RIGHT side
where theyre supposed to be lol weird huh....thoughts?

But you already told me that this was unlikely correct because sound came out of the opposite side speakers (see post #15).

yes exactly, but i just left it like it says on the daigrams hoping for a miracle..

well here's how i had it before, after i messed with the wires
a bit until i finally got "some" sound...

left-front speaker:

civic-red/green + sony purple

civic-brown/black + sony purple/black

left-rear:

civic-blue/yell + sony green

civic-gray/white + sony green/black
______________________________

right-front:

civic-blue + sony gray

civic-gray/blacl + sony gray/black

right-rear:

civic-red/yell + sony white

civic-brown/wht + sony white/black

with this configuration, i was able to get sound on the entire left side,
but not a single whisper from the right

idk im thinking eff this and just ripping out an oem
harness at a junkyard or something and hardwiring it
that way..

This^ is incorrectly configured. Why not wire everything exactly how the diagrams tell you to do it?

Here's another good test:
Remove one speaker that you know works. Then wire each speaker wire pair from the Sony unit individually (+, -) to the speaker to verify that the radio outputs sound for each wire pair.

i did that the very first time bro..im not an idiot :P
but it didnt work so thats what led me to mess with the wires back and forth...

but i will try your test now and come back with the results

alright, so im back with some scary results..

i tried your test with the rear-left speaker which seemed to be
the only one that would work no matter how i configured the wires..
now, after the test i found that the white pair of wires from the
sony unit is not functional as they produced no sound whats so ever.
could it be the harness or the unit itself?

then i went on to test the "good" wire pairs (purple, gray and green) from the sony on my other wires, here
are my conclusions:

***rear-left speaker is the only fully functional out of all speakers so i left it alone!

civic-blue and civic-gray/blk (which are located on my right speaker idk why??)
lit up the left-front speaker..

civic-red/green and civic-brown/black gave no response, only the right tweeter tunred on.

civic-red/yell and civic-brown/wht also gave no response.

so, one problem is the unit and/or harness itself.
and my second problem is faulty wiring on all 3 of my right side speakers.

any suggestions? should i return the unit?

You clearly need to return the Sony unit as it does not output a sound signal to the white speaker wire pair. But first check whether this specific speaker is muted in some way through the unit's programming controls.

You also now need to do end-to-end wire continuity tests using a multimeter to determine where each of the Civic speaker wires behind the radio is routed. Then you can edit your stock Civic speaker wire color chart accordingly and correctly splice the Civic speaker wires to those of the replacement Sony unit. This way you don't need to run any new wires.

RonJ is king of electrical so listen to him. and even if you hook wires up incorrectley aka left front from the headunit to the right rear speaker works. it just doesnt match up nicely when you go into the controls of the unit and use fade and balance. i promise this. its what i did to me camry. ive wired many decks and on ones where i only got like10bucks i said f**k the speakers. the only matters that matter are constant +12v(usually red), ignition wire(usually yellow), and ground(usually black), then some cars have illumintaion wires which are all sorts of colors and those get spliced into the ignition or constant wires sorry cant remember which one. seems like if you hooked it up like the diagram says and it didnt work then you messed with it and it still didnt work you shoulda returned the unit. btw post pictures of your connections easier to understand
