front grille ek1 HELP!

hey guys,

do you have any suggestions for my front grille? I want to put in a new one but im having trouble finding a good quality one on the net. Also ive looked at a thread where someone has custom made grilles with some sort of wire material. What do you guys suggest? Can you recommend good grilles online and how would it look in general if i were to install an aftermarket grille ?

personally i like the type r grille i just put mine in this weekend and it looks so much better. i bought mine on ebay for 20 bucks and it fits great and looks great. sometimes buying after market s**t is a bad idea because it doesnt fit right but surprisingly the grille fits great. idk about other kinds of grilles except the oem one and i dont really like it.

Don't jump the gun. A replacement grille isn't something you need so take your time in selecting a new one.

Photo threads will help you find some grilles you like. Once you find one you like, ask the owner or ask others what sort of grille it is and where it was purchased (if applicable).

Oh, and I use a US coupe/hatch grille (clean it up and dye the insert and it looks good!), a UK optional grille (again, it's going to look like crap if you don't dye it) and a Mugen grille. It's nice to change it up sometimes. Could always stand to pick up more if I find a good deal though.

My only advice would be if you do buy a Type R style grill don't put it on before it's painted, people do that all the time and it looks like crap. If you aren't going to color match, just stay stock.
