Well guys I put my resume up on Monster and two days later I get a phone call from a company called Promotional Marketing Plus. They said they reviewed my resume and would like me to come in for an interview as well as discuss the positions available. Well Ive never been in this situation as to where they call you and say they want you Lol. Now my question is for those who has had this happen to them what should I expect from this interview? I can't expect the normal, "why do you want to work for our company" questions because well... they chose me haha. Any tips on what I should be expecting?

it sounds like a telemarketing company, sounds like a s**t job. not to bust your bubble . alot of these places pop up, then dissapear in a few months. if you go just be careful and READ EVERYTHING that they make you sign.

Yeah, those jobs are always scams. Go to their website, it's vague, there are typos, no address… it's got pyramid scheme written all over it. That s*** happens all the time on Monster, don't fall for it. I wouldn't even show up if I were you, if it's a phone interview, tell them to kill themselves. The other one you can expect to get calls for is life insurance sales. Don't waste your time with that either.

Skip it. I'd see if any dealerships are hiring for service techs. A bunch here are, would imagine there is some need else where too.

^ yah , dealerships are like revolving doors, people leave and jobs open everyday. Its not a easy job , hence why it has such a high turnover. i know , i have worked in like 4 dealerships, honda, toyota, hummer/cadillac, and lexus. its good money if you dont mind working with complete idiots/assholes

That's what I did while in senior year of high school before leaving for university. I managed to get my foot into an apprenticeship before leaving, that way I have a fall back plan. Plus, I'm set for every summer at a chance of employment with previous experience. Definitely something OP can do for work, since a lot of people come and go.

Definitely something I'm looking into. Especially since the dealership where I got my car at is hiring for some.

i used to detail for toyota that s*** was easy and fun because we had to test drive all the new cars to make sure everything worked the pay was ok. the best part was we got a nice discount at NAPA and oem toyota parts.
