Im getting it off craigslist for a ggod deal and what kind of kickers do you have? mine only rms at 150 a piece so 750 pure wattage would be way to much.

Just be careful with that man. Make sure you see the amp working with a sub before you buy it (not just showing power and without going into protect mode either, because it could be screwed up internally and messing with the signal from the deck).

so 750 pure wattage would be way to much.
500W RMS could be way too much too, if you're not careful. Ideally, the best way to install these would be plugging both positives from the speakers into the positive channel and both negatives from the speakers into the negative channel. Make sure the gain on the amp is ALL THE WAY DOWN, otherwise you could be sending 250W+ through each sub.

That's a surefire way to get an excuse to buy bigger subs though

So it would be ok to power my 300 watt rms subs with a 500 rms amp?

Wait, are they 300W RMS or 150W RMS each? Assuming the Kicker Comp's are 4ohm, powering both through the same channel of this particular 500W RMS amp would have the amp running at 2ohm (which it can do) and the output being up to 250W per sub. If they're 150W RMS subs, you're going to want to keep the gain down, as I mentioned before, to avoid distortion and potentially blowin' those Comp's.

That being said, there should be nothing wrong with running 2 12" Kicker Comp's on this amp.

And yea, again, listen to eggy. Good luck man.

Eh, not really

Kicker comps can be found for 30-40 new...If you can sell it and start from scratch, do that.

they are 150 rms each so 300 rms total.
Just for future reference, refer to them as 2 150W RMS subs. It actually makes a big difference, especially when setting up wiring to and from the amp.

I also recommend getting rid of that box. If you want something showy that's going to be terrible quality and probably sound like crap cause it's not turned right, then whatever. If not, you can probably find a audio specialty type store somewhere in your area.

Hell, if you're feeling ambitious enough, you can look into building your own non-ported/ported box :D That's what me and my buddy do for spare cash haha just build boxes out of plywood for people to make sure they will fit into their trunks.
