Have you ever driven a powerful civic before? A 750 whp civic will not be drivable on the street, or if it is, you won't be able to take it to the track. 300 whp is a recipe for wheelspin in all but 4th and 5th gear, 750 is just silly. Not to mention, you'd need a full roll cage, or more likely a tube chassis to handle the suspension mods necessary to put that much power down to the front wheels. I hope you have 75 grand burning a hole in your pocket, and an appetite for replacing parts. But if you did, you wouldn't be asking beginner questions on a civic forum.

If you want to go really fast in a straight line, buy an awd or rwd car, especially if you ever want to drive it on the street. Fwd sucks as far as traction is concerned, and squeezing that much power out if a 1.8l motor means stressing it to even a fully built motors breaking point.

There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

So then u still didnt help me

okay so if it is to much then what about a 450hp civic it is possible and like i said i know this takes time im not looking to spend 40k in one week and not even in a year it will take time so what engine then for 450hp
i want it boosted so i prefer a b18 over 16 for that little extra torque and which engine would be good then d16z6 rebuilt or the b18 and if the b18 which vtec head for it

300 whp on the street is more than enough. 450 requires full slicks to put power down, i had a 300 whp hatchback that would spin drag radials through 3rd gear (with a quaife lsd in an ls trans). a motor with forged pistons and rods, stock sleeves, a vtec head with turbo cams, a mild port, good intake manifold, equal length turbo manifold, and a nice turbo kit could see 450 with a good tune. to then make a car that puts that power down, you are easily looking at 20 grand, probably closer to 30 all said and done, and you still have a rolling hand grenade. i would suggest a b18c block, as they have oil squirters for cooling the pistons and have a slightly better rod/stroke ratio if your'e stuck on a b series, otherwise, if i had unlimited funds, a built k series would be best. while it is doable, i would recommend against a single cam engine, they are just not as good as the b series, h series, or k series you could sleeve the block and bore it out to 83 or 84mm for extra displacement, but sleeved blocks have their own set of problems. again, if you want to make big hp and put it to the pavement, fwd is not the way to go. 300 whp in a lightweight civic is more than enough for anyone to get themselves into a lot of trouble with on the street, and any more is lost to wheelspin unless you have some serious traction enhancement.

speed costs money, how fast do you want to spend?
