Now I know this will cause some turmoil because politics are polarizing. My goal of this thread isn't to bash Liberals or the GOP or even Tea Party and Birthers, instead it's a way for those of us who actually care about those around us to keep them informed with OPINIONS from themselves and/or links to articles they fancy we should read about.

That all being said, please keep it civil. There are a ton injustices going on in America (well, all around the world too) that are going unpunished and unnoticed because the general consumer doesn't like doing their own research. I hope this thread can help out people who think they know but don't or people who don't know but want to.

The only thing I ask is since this is a 'WTF in our country' thread, please note what country you are from and/or trying to represent when you're posting

Thanks for granting me permission to do my job I don't plan on cleaning anything up unless things get WAYYY out of hand. The staff has said it time and time again.....members are encouraged to participate in discussions, debate their opinions, and even disagree....civilly.

Kel, I'm there with you. That's exactly why I started this thread. If I can't be reasonable enough to show what I'm reading/thinking to everyone else with out getting butthurt then in fact I am being just as bad as the people I criticize.

I hope that this thread goes well and people like ourselves can contribute positively to the discussion.

I'd like to see the perspectives of people elsewhere too on this. Has our countries founding principles been decimated or in fact have they just been 'evolving with the times' as some would say?

I think that the attempt has been made to "evolve with the times", but I think it's an extremely piss poor attempt that ended up in a boat load of fail.
