I give him props for restoring that... But good God it's just a Civic. Why would you ever waste so much money on Honda OEM stuff for a car that's nearly 20 years old that will still be worth a fraction of what he's dumping into it.
edit - After thinking about it... He must have connections with someone in Honda. Unless you're rich or just insane, I can't imagine anyone would spend that kind of money for that much OEM stuff.

This. Don't get me wrong, the car looks amazing. But at the end of the day, it's still a 15+ year old baseline Honda.

Yea it is cool as hell. It's a great looking car, and I will be checking it out when it's finished. I went through all 11 pages. It's just a huge waste of money. Cars aren't meant to be an investment, unless it's something really rare and cool. He has probably dumped $15k+ and hundreds of hours into that car, and won't be able to sell it for more than $10k if he is lucky even if he doesn't drive it AT ALL after finishing it.
Yeah he said he'll be using it as a daily and a weekend track car. I don't know, if I had the funds and time I would definitely do what he's doing. I've always wanted a project EG, although once complete I probably wouldn't drive it much.
Some people don't care about the money. They do things the way they do them because it means something to them. He obviously knows he won't get nearly as much money as he spent on it if and when he ever sells it. Can he sell it for 15k? I wouldn't doubt it. Someone out there who comes across it would definitely appreciate the time, effort, and money spent restoring this car. Hell, if I was rich, I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Maybe if he did this in another 15 years from now it'd be worth it, just buy all the parts and store em but at this point it's not worth the cash, dont get me wrong it's sick but just not the right car for the price right now. Still gonna follow it though lol.
